Where has the time gone holy -blam!- man. I just watched the E3 2006 trailer after it came up on a "similar video" thing and I almost cried.
I got Halo 3 in 7th grade after a ton of hype and it lived up fully to its expectations. I eventually switched to CoD4 and then I was on the CoD bandwagon, but I never stopped playing Halo 3. When all was said and done, Halo was my favorite game and beat Call of Duty by far. I used to play so much, and made so many one months with my friends... we'd get together after basketball camp at someone's house and just play all day and night. This continued until after ODST came out, which is where it really died down a lot.
Compared to other games that I just can't stand for long like Gears 2, Halo Reach, every CoD after MW2, Halo 3 is simply magical.
it had so many ways to enjoy the game with your friends. Big Team Battle, Social, ranked, everything was so amazingly fun. Yes I had a 50 in doubles and on a couple one months, but at the same time I was using the BR and sniping I could have equal fun getting splatter sprees in a ghost or playing infection on a poorly-forged sandtrap map.
Halo 3 is by far the best game ever made. once again, almost 5 years. i really can't believe it. hope halo 4 is amazing cause there has been no new addictive multiplayer game that all your friends play for hours which can last more than a week now.
RIP Halo 3.
