Andy Serkis...err....no

I know where you're coming from but I think that would be terrible.

My thoughts, for what they're worth, would be that the Chief should be played in costume by somebody who can bring him to life PHYSICALLY. His voice should then be over-lapped by somebody who has a great voice (along the lines of the game voice or the man himself)

Alot is going to depend on an actor of brilliant physicality to translate MC's general mood through to the audience; not to mention coming up with a unique presence, style of movement and an ability to pull of very violent and demanding work. It can be done though... look at the guy who brought the Predator to life (1st film only of course... the others kinda took a dip in quality)

The voice is all about authority and charisma.

We'll see I suppose... but Serkis sure as hell aint right for it.

I think it will all be CG with the same voices, too much $ to use CG characters with normal humans in HALO.

I don't think it will be CGI.

If it is it will be a horrible decision. They'll have wasted an opportunity to make a real film that people will want to watch, not some dumb cartoon that only some fans will watch. I won't go to see it.

Okay, some of the stuff (say an elite, hunter and brute) could be used with the human digi-create thing. But how can you do that with a grunt or jakal? Unless you have an extremly fat midget or thinest of anorexics (jakals are wafer thin) respectivley. No offense to midgets.

All those spaceships, plasma shots and other assorted crap, CGI would be A LOT!!!! easier.

All I can say is: F*^% YES!

Andy Serkis is one of the greatest actors of the modern day and would be perfect for CGIing the Covenant. Maybe we can have him play the Arbiter as well.

But the Master Chief absolutely must be Steve Downes.
