I keep on getting in conversations with a person who calls me John.

I was playing Arcade Firefight, and everyone quit and it said "WARNING: If you quit anymore games, you will be banned temporarily from Matchmaking." Well, okay, I finished and it banned me. I don't really care that I'm banned, just curious.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

What are you curious about?

You just lagged out. It's not the first time it's happened to someone.

Winner of the 2012 Lurker of the Year award.

I'm watching you.

In firefight, if you see all the other players quit at the same time it means that you lost connection with the host. In reality, the other players continued the game without you and your connection loss counted as a DNF for you.

This. It just shows you continue because Firefight, unlike any other Matchmade gametype, can be played with one player. You kind of branch off into your own game when you lag out, but in a multiplayer player vs player game, the game cannot continue with no enemy team. In this mode, it can.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

I thought quit ban only applied to MM? this is news to me.

lol I think you can get banned from quitting Score Attack too many times. It's anything that Matchmaking has to find you teammates for I guess. I think the OP played FF Arcade, which is technically matchmade.
