I was doing a little research on the cortana letters, and in an old forum i came across this guy nathan who used to work for bungie. He was writing is farewell letter for he was leaving to finish up college and in the letter he stated this:
Oct 20, 1999 (Wednesday)
Thanks to all the people who wrote in about the news that Nathan Bitner is leaving Bungie. You can read his farewell address on either the halo.bungie.org forums or the Core forums. Here's the text:
A Goodbye - Sort of

Dear Bungie Fans and other Forum readers,
This letter has been very difficult to write and it's taken me a long time just to try to get a first sentence that sounds right. So, instead of painstakingly going over the details, I'm just going to write with (for Rob: RECKLESS ABANDON LIKE I DID MANY MOONS AGO :).
It is with some sadness that I write to tell you that Friday, October 22, will be my last day working for Bungie. I have received an opportunity....
(skip to the bottom of the letter)
...have only good memories of all that's happened at Bungie É and it is because of the people that I worked with and the products that we made together. This company is surging ahead with three incredible projects in the wings É and I wish ALL of them and all of YOU the best of luck. (end of letter)
Three incredible projects? Since that date bungie has only released 2 projects and recently unveiled a the 3rd one which appears to be the last in the series. So is it possible that they have been working on all 3 at the same time? It seems that they at least maybe had the story for all 3 complete at the very beggining, but perhaps they were already designing levels, characters, weapons, etc... Just thought that was kind of intriguing. Post your thoughts on this.
