Subject: Hey, guys, don't win yet; camp for kills.

Oops. Gee, I totally capped on accident. My bad.

I don't know if it's just me, but does anybody else enjoy simply winning objective games as opposed to illegitimately boosting your KD on thumbless rejects?

If you seriously want to boost your KD in a stupid way, grab a friend and three extra controllers each and slay the Hell out of each other in Griffball.

Also, before you ask, Imad.

A lot of my friends enjoy it, but I don't. CTF is about capturing the flag, not spawnkilling.

  • 04.29.2012 10:41 AM PDT

Every single pummel I have is unboosted.
I play GGL. (Grifball)
I hit inheritor 14/1/12. 16 months after release. I have a life fellas.
Every single killionaire I have is unboosted. 22 from grifball, 4 from LD.

That said, Grifball Dash is the fastest way to get wins up, with Speedflag on Zealot being a close second.
E: OP, I have been asked by so many randoms to hold off the bomb and I just calmly answer back with, "That's not the rules, it says so right at the start, 'Plant the bomb in the enemies base.'" If they have plans to retaliate my comment, stating that I'm a league player, which I am, normally shuts them up.

Watch out, we got a badass over here.

OT: I can understand your frustration, but the few kills that people get aren't to boost their K/D. In case you haven't noticed, killing is a very core element in Halo so to tell people not to kill is slightly ridiculous.

I always go for kills. Whats the incentive for winning objectives? Nothing!

Always up for REACH customs!

When someone on my team is holding the objective, I lead the enemy to him and take his shields down. Jerks.

Well, you get about 50 more Cr...
So it's not worth it.

OP:
I'd rather not die a million times in a match, I'd rather shoot the people standing in the hill during KotH.
Or shoot the guy with the oddball indicator over his head.
Or shoot the people in CTF, rather than carry an object that renders me defenseless.

I don't have the greatest K/D, and I don't care to. But I'd rather have fun and die sometimes, than go for the objective and die a lot more.

I'm sorry America is busy helping others in the world and actually making a difference.

Something Canada will never do.

how is outplaying the other team illegitimate?

sounds to me like you got the objective held on you a few too many times, maybe you should get better.

  • 04.29.2012 11:33 AM PDT

chances are I don't care who you are or what you say.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

Wait...I'm confused... are you mad?

Ha. No.

What I am irked about is when my team gets angry at me (and typically the other person I play with) for finishing the game. My teammates will want to HTO and slay for another 8 minutes after we can win the game in 3. It's not legit to drag out a game just to pad your stats.

I like to find more games to win, rather than get an illegitly high KD.

Last member of the i4Ni clan.

The majority of the time I have a negative spread because I actually play games like headhunter.... not just sit on top of the scoring zone with a dmr and never score.

It's kind of funny to watch some people play KoTH. yesterday, I was playing and someone went 40-1, with 0 KoTH time. Pathetic padding, just throwing nades down on the circle.

Teamwork FTW.

The only time I don't play the objective is multi team. There is no reason to.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

It isn't our shiznit anymore.

Eh, I've made my peace with HTO'ers a long time ago. I have certain guidelines when I play multiplayer, but neither I nor anyone else can expect others to follow those same rules. As long as they are having fun, it's k.

It's funny because you went -50 in that game.

Your opinion is invalid.

I only hold on players if they annoy me in-game. If my team is clearly better and you try your balls off to make things difficult for us then I will be holding on you after the second cap.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

This is why I prefer Slayer most times.

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

OP is mad because I pooped on him in objective :)

  • 04.29.2012 7:43 PM PDT

I'll spawnkill only if I'm in a party.

  • 04.29.2012 7:49 PM PDT

i've only ever held on those whom are annoying. Like the kids who get spawn raped on Asylum and won't quit.

  • 04.29.2012 7:58 PM PDT

Why even bother, really?
I rage.

People hardly ever hold the obj in mlg.

I was searching 8's in BTB and i capped the objective in the first 3minutes or so two games in a row. Needless to say the tryhards on the team raged their faces off and booted me from the lobby, I lol'd hard. Then I told my friend to join them, then he capped on them. So good. Especially that in the second game there was only 3 players left and they wanted to spawn kill them lulz
