Subject: Wait, Halo Reach was easier than Halo 3? LOLNO

The reason why people hate Reach is either because

1. They suck at the game, since it puts all players on common ground and eliminates the "skill" required to get kills by adding bloom. Like it or not, the game is harder, since good players don't get rewarded for having skill

or

2. The game was a HUGE, HUGE freaking promise for the franchise, but it failed miserably and made the Halo community die out in less than 2 years. If Halo 4 fails, oh boy.

Reach wasn't easier than Halo 3. Reach relied waaay too much in team shooting, which killed the fun 1v1s in plenty of games, which also contributed to boost Call of Duty's and Battlefield's popularity, since those games do reward good players both in 1v1 encounters and team shooting (suppressing or whatever)

My point, Halo 3 was easier than Reach. Deal with it.

Those points really don't prove anything, more opinion than anything.

H3 > Reach in my mind, but I still enjoy the game and feel I am fairly good at it.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Kinda felt the same way when I read that...

Both games have their babying mechanics, to be honest.

Once you learned the maps, you could do more beasting in Halo 3 because guns were all OP.

No matter how good you are in Reach, you can always get out-bloomed/out-spammed by a noob.

I don't agree with the concept, but Reach is harder to master and to do constantly good at.

Reach is far far easier than Halo 3. Reach is a cake walk.

Odd how your Halo: Reach k/d is lower than your Halo 3 one, neh?

Neem deel aan de NL Group, om het spel beter te begrijpen en makkelijker met/tegen vele andere Nederlanders te spelen.

Actually difficulty is decided by the players you play with and against.
I'm not saying hreach is easier, I'm saying and most people are that reach is a lesser halo game.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

In terms of campaign, Reach is the easiest one yet. Legendary was disappointing.

So basically... Waypoint is pro-vanilla?

Waypoint isn't pro-anything so much as they're just anti-intelligence.

I'm new to competitive Halo and Halo itself (Reach being my first video game ever actually). Message me if you want to play;

Reach: MLG, Arena, Doubles, BTB and customs.
Halo 3: Ranked MM and customs.

Also I have every Halo title and all of its DLC on the Xbox 360.

That OP was all over the place. Little of it actually had anything to do with the thread title.

Halo Reach is definitely easier than H3. Try going from playing a game of Reach to H3. Have fun getting your ass handed to you because you're so used to a single shot weapon. /recent experience

oh man bringing out the fail k/d tactic I see. I have a 2.0+ in both Reach and Halo 3, I don't see how a few tenths between the game means Reach is somehow harder, it's not.

Reach is super easy, since when does k/d have anything to do with it? If I really cared to pad my Reach k/d I know plenty of easy easy playlists in Reach where I could make it skyrocket. I don't use vehicles in Reach, I don't play team objective to pad stats, and I usually just stick to normal slayer playlists with BTB from time to time.

Obviously I've played Halo 3 more than reach and know how to play well in that game. The same cannot be said for probably 95% of the people who play reach. I'd say on average they have significantly lower k/d in Halo 3 compared to derp reach which brings us to the conclusion Halo 3 is harder than Reach.

Nope it's the perfect indicator of skill.
I have a 2.0+ in both Reach and Halo 3, I don't see how a few tenths between the game means Reach is somehow harderAnd that is why I do the thinking in this relationship.

Reach is super easy, since when does k/d have anything to do with it?Since Halo.
If I really cared to pad my Reach k/d I know plenty of easy easy playlists in Reach where I could make it skyrocket.'I could be better I just don't try!'
I don't use vehicles in Reach, I don't play team objective to pad stats,Indeed. 4 flag scores as your sole objective scoring medal. Ah, but if you tried I'm sure you'd be far more amazing!

Obviously I've played Halo 3 more than reach and know how to play well in that game.I've played Halo 3 more than Reach and know how to play well in that game.

But you just said K/D is irrelevant to which is harder. You're contradicting yourself mate.

So... having 2 extra shots after you miss the first to pad your fail counts as more skill?...

Having to actually aim the head and lead your shots does.
