Bring Back Rocket Race!!!

The reason why people hate Reach is either because
1. They suck at the game, since it puts all players on common ground and eliminates the "skill" required to get kills by adding bloom. Like it or not, the game is harder, since good players don't get rewarded for having skill
or
2. The game was a HUGE, HUGE freaking promise for the franchise, but it failed miserably and made the Halo community die out in less than 2 years. If Halo 4 fails, oh boy.
Reach wasn't easier than Halo 3. Reach relied waaay too much in team shooting, which killed the fun 1v1s in plenty of games, which also contributed to boost Call of Duty's and Battlefield's popularity, since those games do reward good players both in 1v1 encounters and team shooting (suppressing or whatever)
My point, Halo 3 was easier than Reach. Deal with it.
1. Putting everyone on common ground is a terrible idea. The whole game is overbalanced. It doesn't matter if someone sucks at Halo or not. That wasn't the point of Halo back in the old days. Or have you all forgotten what Halo multiplayer was meant to be? Halo multiplayer was meant to be pure unadulterated fun and excitement. Halo: Reach takes all of that away by making everything balanced.
2. Actually, the Reach community lost a lot of people in less than 1 week. Halo 3 held the #1 spot on the Xbox Live Activity List for almost 4 years straight. But Halo: Reach only held that spot for about a week.
Ranking up in Halo: Reach is extremely easy. Actual gameplay is not required to rank up. People can rank up for doing nothing and just standing still (with movement every now and then). Halo: Reach's ranking system takes absolutely no skill. But in Halo 3, especially in the Ranked playlists such as Lone Wolves, you only get experience if you win, meaning you have to actually have skill to win. As you rank up, the people you play get better because they also had to have good skill to rank up. Eventually, you'll get to the point where people are better than you and it becomes nearly impossible to rank up anymore. I'm pretty much stuck at Commander Grade 3 in Halo 3. Lone Wolves is now too difficult because at my current skill level, I can't progress any further.
Basically, Halo 3 is a lot more difficult and requires A LOT more skill than Halo: Reach does. Halo: Reach is all about balance while Halo 3 is actually about skill and fun.
