Bungie, will you ever please stop limiting us strictly to predefined playlists for Halo 3. I would like to be able to play custom game in live with the exact map and weapons you want and post it so anyone could find and join the gametype, not just the 50 people on my friendslist who never seem to be online anyways.

Predefined lists are good for ranked games. But it would be nice to have an option to play custom games too and actually be able to get other people to join than being limited to the 50 on your friends list (since most of the 50 aren't online the same time as you anyways). At the very least, the number of friends you can have on live should be upped to 500 or so so you can always find lots of people to join your unranked custom gametypes on your friendlist.

Bots and a return of the pistol are also two very humble requests for the next game.

Remember, this would be like bots, just an option.

If you don't want to search for and play custom games with the map and weapons you want, that's your option, you can play just ranked premade games.

If you don't want to use bots, you don't have to. Ranked games wouldn't allow bots.

But please don't take these options away from the people that want them.

Halo CE > Halo 3 > Halo 2

Fix the Halo 3 BR spread, plz.

Matchmaking is a system to let you quickly find a match. I prefer it to lists, because you instantly find a match rather than trying to find a match with people of your same skill level, who will actually not boot you out.

That's why I think Matchmaking is essential and should be kept.

I'm saying that they should add the list as an option to let you find games when you want to play a game with the settings that you want, and are willing to wait for it.

Adding a list of custom games on the side won't get rid of matchmaking.

I have no problem with this idea. i believe on of the reasons they didn't do it for Halo 2 was to try to keep as many people in Matchmaking as possible. Because of ranks being used to match people with similarly skilled players, they were worried that if not enough people were playing Matchmaking, it might take for ever to get into a game. They are going to have to continue to balance that.
