It's not much better on 360 than on oXbox. Actually, the 360 software emulator is a bit bizarre; it's usually smooth, but it'll just randomly start dropping frames like crazy at the weirdest moments.
I didn't know that.

I was more thinking about the persistant judder those games have. When Halo 1 drops frames, it's due to obvious high stress and it'll go away when you get to clearly lower-stress areas. But in Halo 3 (and CEA), the game will occasionally just start dropping a frame or two every second or so, and it drives me absolutely nuts.
I see.

Is this the same problem? I've been wondering about the speeded up feel in H3.

No, not at all. That's Rockslider's dissertation on issues he has with Halo 3's animation style; it's more an aesthetic complaint than a technical one. I'm talking about framerate problems. Specifically, judder.

Judder is when frames don't get displayed for even intervals on a display, causing something to feel choppy even when the overall framerate is staying reasonably decent. In Halo 3's case, it happens when the game starts to drop a frame (or do something stupid to similar effect) every second or so.

Does it affect the looking speed?

Halo 3 is the retard version of 2.

Finally someone who agrees that Halo 3 is Halo 2 watered, and beaten down.
Then again, you're both terrible at halo 3.

Pretty much the same weapons and physics, with some tweaks I think made the game worse. You may be better than me, but I am still a player who is able to critique games and how much fun I find in them. Then again, you're terrible at insults.

Halo 3 is my favorite game of all time, period. That's multiplayer, single player, co-op campaign, everything. I -blam!- love halo 3 and I include ODST coz it has Halo 3 in the title =)

Nope, Halo 3 is superior in every way possible. Reach at least tried new things. Halo 2 felt like a rehash of halo 1. From the first level being in a ship to the copy paste nature of flood levels.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

Halo 2 was very different to Halo 1. Halo 2 introduced loads of new weapons, an entirely new side to the story through the Arbiter, a deep and intriguing story, humanising the covenant and making them interesting, introducing a Flood intelligence, new characters, new environments, new vehicles, it is in no way a re hash of Halo CE.

H2 was more daring. It drastically changed CE (talking Elites, casual friendly).

Reach tried to be like CE while deliberately trying to destroy Halo (with it's cinematic approach, big teases, fail friendly AI and vehicle physics, and lack of epic moments).

So I don't see how H2 felt like a rehash of CE. In fact, that claim is an insult to CE, even more than Reach's very existence which itself is an insult.

People will go so far to discredit H2, even asserting superiority of a sequel (H3) over the game that started it all (CE)... it's best if I leave this forum permanently so I don't have to suffer.
