GREETINGS!

Here is my problem. I run a CE dedi server on my LAN server. It's a 2ghz 1gigDDR running Win2k over a home cable connection.

My problem is that as of a couple days ago whenever I reload the server Gamespy seems to want clients to connect on a new random port. By random I mean that the first time it was port 1442, then 10328, and now I dunno cause I need someone to try a log in and tell me the port it's trying to connect to. Anyway, I get a friend to try a log in and tell me the port then I have to forward that port through my router and even add -port xxxxx to the server startup for anyone to be able to connect.

As I am sure you are aware this is a PIA... Anyone have a similar prob or any ideas for fixing it? I've tried what I know, now I need some help.

As an FYI, LAN connections still connect on 2302 and 2303 just fine when I use the default ports, you just can't get in from the in game server list. I also have 2302 and 2303 forwarded firewalls all set up to let client connections through.

Yes, I am a hypocrite, and I'm sorry. I really do mean well, but I'm not running on all cylinders.

Everytime someone buys a copy of Halo 2 Vista, a puppy dies.

This sounds like some kind of mangling going on at your ISP's gateway. You should call them up and find out if they can make port 2302 accesible on your connection.

After talking to your ISP, try contacting GameSpy.
