This Soffish do not eat.

Well to be fair, it sounds like they deserved it a bit, depending on how bad their trash talk was before the match even started!

On the other hand, I probably wouldn't have left them unable to spawn for so long. Maybe once or twice to shut them up, then get on with the game.

Hello, Community!

Hopefully if you're reading this, it's because you're interesting in kicking your campaign experience up a notch by cranking up the Legendary with all skulls activated :-) Need advice? A guide? Maybe even a friendly community to cheer you on and help guide you through the process? Then give our Mythic thread a read, and Godspeed on your Mythic journey!

Best Regards,
The Tyrant

It's called "stat padding" and yes it's cheap. Spawn killing can be used as a legitimate strategy if you're trying to use it to score, but if all you're doing intentionally killing them over and over again for the sheer sake of it, that's a different story.

Is it cheating? No. Is it being a poor sport? Yes. I'll be sure to let Goose and Cody know to keep an eye out for you.

In terms of trash talk, I don't do it myself, but if you're playing online with 10 million other potential matches, it's to be expected. Don't like what you hear? Party chat may be the way to go. You always have the power to prevent your problems when it comes to online interactions.

Well after a week or so, I finally got my video converted and uploaded thanks to a Group on the site called Capture Card Renderer's.

The video is here, which shows how possible it is. It shows our lucky setup, and the ultimate demise of the opposing team. The camera switches between players frequently to show it isn't a bluff.

That's cheating and it ruins the game

Then again, Grifball was never good anyway. Players should spawn in the air or have brief invulnerability off spawn.

See, now it makes sense completely to have secondary spawns that work only when the 4 they stand on are blocked. 4 alternate spawns should activate on the sides of the playing field when such event as above, occurs.

Griffball takes no skill. Let's so how well you do when I get bridged host every game.

Perfectly fair.
It's a fault within the game, not cheating. Arrogant people.

<(-_-)> Teh mokey is not amused

If they deserved it, that's funny as -blam!-. If they didn't though, thats just dickish.

Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.

-blam!- all of you fanboys!

Cheating.

Doesn't matter if it's a fault within the game. If it breaks the rules of the game and you take advantage of it, you're a cheater.

This holds true for all the stupid glitches you've all taken advantage of over the years. Super jumps glitchers, I'm looking at you. You were never meant to be able to jump that high, you were never meant to get to that spot on that map due to the jumping glitch, thus you are breaking the rules.

In this case, I seriously doubt it was meant for you to be able to spawn the entire team outside of the map unable to play. And under no scenario does any player of the game deserve to have you take advantage of such a retarded glitch.

You basically proved to them that they are justified in talking -blam!- to you, Because when it came time to put up or shut up. You -blam!-ed out and took advantage of a glitch. You know what that makes you?

I don't care what effort it took to obtain it. The fact that you purposely did it, makes you unworthy of the priviledge of playing with others. Especially when you consider what your motive was.

It wasn't enough to just win the game... You had to go way beyond that.

By chance, do you consider yourself competitive or casual?

I already know the answer. But I'm just asking it to help all the other idiots make the connection of why competitives are all -blam!- retards.

Bah, armor lock ruins the game, but it's not cheating anything except death. When you play Grifball, which is meant for pure shenanigans and what not, what do you expect with faulty spawn layouts?

Armor lock is cheap, but it's not cheating. (Still hate this ability btw)
Spawn killing is cheap, but it's not cheating. (We've either done this or have been victims to it)

Your solution would work, but the problem is they won't do it. This is another reason old school games were much more successful in my eyes. When you got hit or died, you'd have a few moments of invulnerability to catch a breather and give yourself a chance to move out. Super Smash Bros. Melee is a perfect example. When you die, you're flashing and immune to all damage for a short period, plus you're able to attack.

Side Note: Karma's a -blam!-

I'd probably do that.

Than again, I would question myself as to why I am playing Grifball.
