By popular vote of the Septagon, Bungie should release their next IP in 2015 at the earliest.

People want a merger with Valve. Release dates are not something Valve does well at all.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Trick question. BUNGIE doesn't merge with other development studios, it assimilates them into themselves.

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

CD Projekt RED. The guys who made the Witcher 2. They sound like a really great studio.

Failing that, probably Bethesda, DICE, Valve or Blizzard.

Yax is a shining beacon in these dark times. You should all strive to be more like Yax.

Valve. But only if Gaben had complete control.

Valve.

That would be my second guess.

Valve. By far.

This would be amazing...

Valve. By far.

Obviously this. There are no other options.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Infinity Ward.

Just imagine. Just imagine the rectal discomfort from the fanboys on both sides. It would be glorious.

But if we're talking in order to create great games rather than just for my own entertainment I'd totally like to see an id/Bungie tag-team as some people have suggested.

Since it has not happened, why don't we cross that bridge when it does, if ever.

Scenario: undisclosed events have sent a shockwave through the video game industry, and several game developers are looking to pool their assets and merge to form a single studio.

What other game developer (pick one) would you want to see Bungie merge with, and why?

Go with Blizzard, the possibilities would be ridiculous.

On a side note for the Valve references, they just confirmed they won't be showing anything new at E3 this year.

If the MMO rumors are true then Bethesda Softworks if not then Respawn Entertainment.

  • 05.02.2012 5:23 PM PDT

EA, obviously. Bungie retconned the -blam!- out of the Halo franchise with Reach, included terrible story, and topped it off with a bad game overall, while EA changed the -blam!- out of the Tiberium universe, included a terrible story, required constant Internet connection for single player, and topped it off with a terrible game overall.

It's a match made in heaven. The games could reach depths of hell not even Satan would dare venture to.

Or you know, Blizzard, the company that has made the most popular/profitable MMO by far.

That would be true but Bethesda Softworks makes those Elder Scrolls games and Blizzard makes those other games.

Valve. By far.

I was going to say that, but then all their titles would take forever to come out.

It's hard to say, honestly. Most developers have a completely different style I don't think would meld well with Bungie's. If I had to pick one, I'd say i.d.

It really depends on where they want to venture with their next game, though.
