Well if you go by that attitude there's no point for the Regular Mailsack either.

I like the idea, but I think it would be cool if we got to see the chosen answers. That way, it would give us some insight into the community as a whole.

Good idea. DeeJ could edit the answers he chose into the thread once it was done.

If he does it like this then it sounds like it could be cool.

False.

There's no point because the point of the mailsack is to find out things about Bungie LLC. that we don't know. Things about the company which is the focal point of the website we are all on and the reason we're all here. There are lots of things about them that we don't know, and so this has a point.

Now, we are not on this site to talk about John Smith from Pigknuckle, Arkansas. Not that talking about the community is bad, but that's what Community Joe is for.

Also, it would just be a thread of people trying to make witty, one-liner-type responses so they can get featured on the next "Opposite Mailsack". It's fine for the employees (who are specifically asked to do so) via in-house emails, but a whole weekly installment of this seems silly.

And the point of this Mailsack would be to let the employees find out things about us that they didn't know. It's not a one way street; who knows, they could be curious.

Also, it would just be a thread of people trying to make witty, one-liner-type responses so they can get featured on the next "Opposite Mailsack".I trust DeeJ would chose the quality answers.

but a whole weekly installment of this seems sillyI was suggesting it be monthly. However, I think even if this was a one time thing it would still be fun.

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

If a Bungie employee wants to know what the community thinks about something, he or she just comes to the forums and posts the question. If they want to set rules for the replies, they do so and community members generally follow it (and moderators occasionally enforce it). It's happened many times before.

The community is too large to reverse the mailsack idea though. They do community interviews from time to time but trying to gain a general consensus on certain issues is never easy with a community this large.

Yes he does. The mailsack is a mixture of serious and non-serious questions (to keep people entertained). And it's filled with serious and non-serious answers.

I have a question for the opposite mail sack then!

What's the difference between peanut butter and jam?

You may need to re-read the OP. The Opposite Mailsack is when the Bungie Employees ASK the question, and WE ANSWER.
