Maybe something where you would submit your maps, and Bungie would add the really good ones. It would put more manpower on their next project, (Pimps at Sea!), and we would get content downloads quicker. Or if you didn't have to download it to play it, and it was only in customs that might be okay as well. Bungie would need to be really careful though, or it could be disastrous.

I could see it all now, no walls to map so you could go miles without stopping...

yea there should definitley be one. (and I'm kidding about the no walls, that would suck cause you wouldn't find anyone, but yea, there should be one)

Or how about a thumbs up or thumbs down feature so you know which ones are good before you download them.

i made a thread like thisbut it got deleted

anyway... it should have the map editor from far cry for the surroundings merged with the map editor for timesplitters for making buildings and stuff

6 Minutes of Hell video here

I think they should make a map editor that you can save maps to your HD and play with them in custom games with your friends, and if you make a good enough map, submit it and it would be put on the market place for all to download.

look its simple there are 2 ways you can make the maps accessable

1;have leaderboards like timesplitters most reccomended maps at the top and a section for looking at friends maps

2:dont have leaderboards just make the person download the custom map before they join your game

A BIG PROBLEM WITH CUSTOM MAPS IS CREDIT IS LOST what bungie needs to do is make a way of stopping copied maps. this happens on the timesplitters leaderbords wer the most popular map gets downloaded then uploaded again with the same name but the authers name is different

What would also be cool, is if theyd let us create co-op maps. Then we could make single player co-op levels. That would be amazing.

It's a nice thought, I would like to see one. But putting that much extra programming on a single disc...and if they haven't started on it, Bungie would be hard pressed to meet a 2007 release date. I couldn't really see it being any use online except in custom games...and then you would have to download them from your friends.

Who says it has to be on one disk? You could have single player on one disk, Multi on another.

seriously custom maps add to the experience... in most games with a map editor option i hardly play the maps that come with the game

Apparently they were working on one for Halo2 on xbox but ran out of time. I hope they make one this time. Then eventually you could possibly even download new textures and stuff like that from marketplace. Awesome.
