global warming isn't proven and won't be - it's more of a political play for funding for "research"

I would definitely not get it.

Yes. Absolutely. Considering when it would come out, it would be the first Halo on the 720. And it would come out as a 2nd generation 720 game; Halo 5 won't appear until the third generation much like Halo 3. Plus it wouldn't really hamper Halo 5's release because MS would again have the majority of the art assets done by other studios making the impact on 343i minimal. And consider this- it would be the first Halo of that console so MP wouldn't just be Halo 4 w/ H2 map packs. The reason (aside from dividing the player base) that H:CEA used Reach MP is that H1 didn't have an online component and wasn't built to handle lag. H2 they could essentially port straight over if they wanted. And as of this time Halo 2 is still the best Halo multiplayer ever played on XBL (who knows if Halo 4 will surpass it).

So considering it would be a complete reskin of Halo 2, mp and all, at $60 it sounds well worth the money.

As long as they simply revamped the visuals to take advantage of the newer technology, and altered/modified NO canonical elements whatsoever, I don't see the harm in it.

the only reason I would want this would be halo 2 multiplayer.

Well it's already being Rumored

(nothing confirmed but it's very possible.)

Hopefully 343 would realize the driving force of halo 2 was it's multiplayer so they'd focus heavily on it, keep it true to the original....we'll see.

I'd be fine with it so long as it is a (more or less) 1:1 upgrade like CEA was, with the exception that native Multiplayer be included this time.

The problem is, if they include native multiplayer it could steal Halo 4's multiplayer thunder. Given that Halo 4 will probably have a player progression system like Reach, the chances of H2A having native multiplayer are looking pretty slim as they'd want you to invest your time in Halo 4.

It would have to be released at least one and a half years after Halo 4 not to disrupt their Halo 4 multiplayer plans.

EDIT: This could also be a good chance to implement the features Bungie wanted to initially ship with Halo 2, like replays and (I think) Forge, which would only serve to enhance the core experience.

With a good campaign and co-op, yes. As long as they didn''t make it a "thing"; I wouldn't want a Halo 3: Anniversary in 2017 on a future Xbox console.

This would be great, but I believe that 343i are making a trilogy, so it could be quite a while until an improved version of Halo 2 could be released at a time where it wouldn't interfere in the sales/activity of their main games.

Citizens of Me! The cruelty of the old Pharaoh is a thing of the past. Let a whole new wave of cruelty wash over this lazy land.

Hear the word of Pharaoh. Build unto me a statue of ridiculous proportion. One billion cubits in height......that I might be remembered for all eternity!

And be quick about it!

Who wouldn't want Halo 2 Anniversary? I mean I'd prefer it if they put the actual multiplayer in instead of Halo 4 multiplayer for Halo 2 Anniversary, but I'd be more excited for the updated graphics in Halo 2's campaign.

Also I'd love it if they added an extended campaign featuring the levels Bungie was forced to cut due to time constraints. That would be epic.

Just like the H1 rerelease, I will not show any support (pay any money) if there isn't matchmaking through the original game engine.
