Sev has a terrible memory so I ask this, in which theater did the UNSC have the most victories in? Space or planetside?

I'm not entirely sure if it is ever stated that the UNSC wins most ground engagements without the help of SPARTANs.

Why everybody states it as a fact makes me wonder what everyone else has been reading.

"I may not be perfect, but always been true."

On the ground, in space they always needed to outnumber the Covenant 3 to 1 in order to win.

I started up the heated debate on whether the SPARTAN-II in the cryo tube near the end of Reach is really Linda.
I created the Moa XING avatar pic.
Also I earned the All Star nameplate with this submission to Week 14 All Stars http://www.bungie.net/images/News/Inline11/bwu_0415/art/likea boss.jpg

The UNSC had very few victories in general. They did win some ground engagements but not a significant amount. Even if they did the Covies in space would just glass the planet. Only a few planets were ever "won" back.

I love you

Most of the UNSC ground victories only happened because Spartan teams were present (someone correct me if I'm wrong) Otherwise they were semi good on the ground. They won a few battles, but none important enough to change the tide of the war.

Don't do anything you wouldn't want to have to explain to paramedics. Trust me, I'm a pilot.

I don't know exact specifics, but the UNSC won far more conflicts on the ground than in space.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

:)
The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Planet side, but at horrible costs. It most depends on how the situation in orbit goes.

Look at Jericho VII. UNSC was dominating on the ground, but had to pull back and lost the battle because of the situation in orbit.
