I don't get the majority of you, many wanted to battle alongside more marines becasue they were so few in Halo CE, then when you finally get that in Halo 2, it's less marines wanted. Bah, most of you want the pistol back, but then if you would get it, crap, bring the magnum back.

I'd like more timebased mission, like get out of there before it blows or get in there before it's overrun. Adrenaline pumping, sweat pouring down, and then, then... you fail... and you have to do it all again, again and again. Untill you feel that frustration creeping up on you, you get more desperate, controll is on it limits of durability, then, you finaly make it and it's a glorious feeling, like, christmas. More of those please

I want to see some ginormous space battles. Seriously, i want to see something like the opening scene of star wars episode 3 that was amazing.

Oh yeah, the beach landing was freakin' sweet.

Halo CE......(sigh) the good ol' days......

“Go, stranger, and to Lacedaemon tell that here, obeying her behests, we fell.”

how about a hold the line scenario.....i love the rush you get from those last ditch defenses....

I think walking through a completely ruined city filled with destroyed buildings and bodies would be a good feeling...make us realize how much the war had cost us.

Ditto to that beach landing. And there were things about the halo 1 and 2 campaigns i liked. Halo CE i liked the feeling of isolation and mystery as compared to in halo 2 you always knew what was going on. However in halo 2 i liked all the vehicle fights and the levels had a lot of really nice eye candy.

I really want the final level to be some sort of epic battle between good and evil with that kind of music that gives you goosebumps and makes you think "This is actually important".

I want the same feel I had in Halo CE. I don't want the same game, but rather that "30 seconds of fun over and over again" that we lost in Halo 2.

Very true you said it just right, i was trying to think of what it was that i liked so much about halo CE. It was the 30 seconds of fun. But there were a few nuances in halo 2 which sorta disrupted the 30 second bursts of fun, like the introduction of jackal snipers for one thing. And i really don't like fighting those flying things.

Did you notice though the 30 seconds of fun thing did happen a few times in halo 2, but it was mostly in the first level cairo station.

Another game that Halo could definately take a page out of and improve, would be the sequences between levels such as in GRAW. The feeling of continuity that you get from level to level keeps you on your toes and makes the environments you travel too seem much more realistic because of the close proximity of all the battles raging on in the different environments on Earth. Not necessarily for the whole game, but for some level sequences. Most of you hit it on the head with the Silent Cartographer Intro, and then how that segways into AotCR. Along those kinds of lines, but with more GRAW like immersion, and of course that Bungie touch will make it much more bad ass.

True that made it pretty cool in halo ce. However its also a good thing when the levels are really divided up more like chapters, because the halo campaign is all about a story. Unlike in GRAW the campaign is more of a military sequence than a real story.

Yea, i see your point. I'll just clarify my suggestion a bit through the idea that if there is a ton of warfare on Earth like everyone wants, and what Bungie may deliver. Itd be a great way to keep the player immersed through the GRAW type segways. Bungies very creative and could definately make a truly cinematic sequence out of a simple Pelican ride to another hot zone.

I remember a feeling in CE I never really felt in H2: being alone.
Sure, the chief is alone in Halo 2 a couple of times... but remember walking/driving around on the level Halo and you faintly hear the low rumble of covenant drop-ships?
Or like the beginning of the level Guilty Spark.
If you're ever alone in halo 2, you always have the expectation of somebody around the corner. CE, the feeling of abandonment grows throughout the entire game.
That was a very nice monologue.

I want to feel for Halo 3 suprises, wonder and heart pounding suspense

Yea what teenape said about the cinematic in the pelican thing. Now that bungie has a 360 to work with i can't even imagine how amazing the cinematics will look. Just the trailor alone was enough to make me wet myself.

I would like to see move battles on the scale of the Silent Cartographer and AotCR. More of them, and on a larger scale. The marines in Halo 2 were extremely unintelligent, and often just stood in one spot or decided not to get in the warthog that you were in. I want to see smarter marines when you are with them. However, overall, I don't want to be with them as much. I would rather have those really big battles followed by the MC just doing things by himself.

I would like to see the Master Chief go on more operations with the ODSTs. After all, the Master Chief is apart of NavSpecWep (Navy Special Forces, but not SEALs). I would like more ' we're in your back yard and you don't even know it' type missions along with Direct Action Missions (Pelican/Silent Cartographer).

The biggest thing for me is more battles on a Massive scale, where thousands of humans and covenant are dying at a time. But not just massive land battles, massive space battles too. I like the "hold the line" type battles too, where your basically sprayin bullets into a wave of enemies to keep a defencive line up. i would also like more time with the ODST's, those guys were kick a. i would also like the AI to be more intelligent and capable, along side an ability for you to control them more effectively. I also like the idea of more beach landings from pelicans or naval landing craft.

and much more.
