Subject: A new idea...

This isn't a very "new" idea. It has posed before in different forums. Bungie Employees can do it (or at least Superusers for that matter). They don't trust us enough ;)

The Flood (being what it is) would abuse such a feature.

Most forums I've been on do this, and it never seems to get out of control.
Most forums that do that have it in place from the beginning. To add it after the fact would cause a whole world of problems.

Every member of the Covenant shall walk the path. None will be left behind when our Great Journey begins. That is the Prophets' age-old promise, and it shall be fulfilled!

Then give it only to people who are higher than member.

Considering that the titles are intended to have no bearing on maturity, I don't see how this would manage the problem.

Well, we could have it outlawed in the flood.

It would still work.

Please no.

This will become the most disorganized forum ever practically overnight.

Why does everyone always say this? Other forums that are better than bungie.net have this and they do well.

No.
It would be far too easy for certain "Less civilized" internet communities to spam the forums with inappropriate images.

It would still work.
Prohibiting it on one part of the site would not work. There is nothing stopping people from going to a different forum to be silly and spam. There is no way to easily moderate this feature which is why I do not support the suggestion of embedding images. If a feasible way to moderate this idea were to be suggested, I would consider it's support.

Hello community, If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to ask, whatever it may be and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge/ability. (It may not be THE answer you're looking for but AN answer is better than NO answer.)

KEEP CALM AND PLAY XBOX
Thank you.

There's a little BIG trust issue there of Bungie's with the community.

It's like the equivilant of giving every psycho patient in a asylum a deadly gruesome weapon and just basically saying "Nothing can possibly go wrong. What could happen?? Consequences Schmonsequences, pfft!"

Meh if you want to show somebody a picture you can give them a link to it. Letting everybody post pictures is a bad idea. It would clutter up the forums and people would abuse it.

Text is MUCH less memory straining than a picture, that is the main reason why they didn't allow it in the first place.

The second reason is that there would be a TON of inappropriate pictures that may be posted and stain the virgin eyes of the innocent.

I think it's a bad idea, less is more in this case.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I think that the hyperlink system works just fine. Besides, being able to post pictures will lead to a lot more spam.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I'd would say sure except there are to many sick minded people on the internet who would surely abuse such power.
This is why we can't have nice things.
