Subject: Next Bungie Day...

Every member of the Covenant shall walk the path. None will be left behind when our Great Journey begins. That is the Prophets' age-old promise, and it shall be fulfilled!

There would be a lot of spammers and also a lot people would probably post magazine scans of diffrent games. So I think that the Forum Moderators and Bungie Employees would not like that on here.

It's all gone the next day.

Yeah. All the data from the day before is instantly wiped clean. Like magic!

As for your suggestion OP; I think that would be a fine, if not inferior idea to the one I suggested above. With one caveat: The Mods are then allowed to ban anyone, anytime, for any reason, until the next Bungie day.
As if they don't already have that power?

I mean, banning will happen again the next day.

You sound like someone I know.

Mass bannings the next day. Sounds like fun.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

If it happens, you won't see me around here on Bungie day. I'm not interested in a flood of shock links and inescapable popup windows.

This idea is genius. That sounds like a lot of fun.

Indeed.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Yes. No bans on bungie day, let's keep the peace.

7/8/12 - The day everyone got banned.

I am definitely for this.

Will they want to ban anyone on Bungie day? Do not think so.

They should pull a B.net member's name out of a hat and get some cool Bungie swag.

No.

They should pull an active B.net member's name out of a hat.

We wouldn't want an absent getting anything nice now, would we?

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

I don't think that this a good idea. If the moderators couldn't ban anyone (even for just one day), the forums would turn into a very unfriendly place.

Halo: CE Anniversary Achievement Idea
C-C-C-CANNON BREAKER!
Let Sgt. Johnson die on Halo.

I foresee many different links to pr0nz and spam. People would get offended and butthurt, and new users who HAPPEN to log on for the first time that day would be appalled and leave. I don't see it happening.

  • 05.07.2012 9:31 AM PDT

It only takes a simple question to change everything.

I have a better idea. It could cut down on spam and other rule breaking actions. The best part about this is nothing can go wrong. Bungie.net will practically be a utopia by the end of the day. We make everyone on the forums a mod for the day.

I think they should set the Universe on fire. That would be an adequately magnanimous event.

As for your suggestion OP; I think that would be a fine, if not inferior idea to the one I suggested above. With one caveat: The Mods are then allowed to ban anyone, anytime, for any reason, until the next Bungie day.

So usual business then?

amidoinitrite?

Surely, sir, you don't mean to suggest that the moderators ban people they simply don't like?

"There's daggers in men's smiles." - Donalbain, Macbeth, Act II, scene iii

Anything that gives True Underdog expanded mod powers is a terrible idea.

Quoted from another thread:

On the next Bungie Day, all of us need to get 'Burn Bright; Burn Blue" tattooed on our backs, then all of us need to find and wear the most absurd blue wigs that we can get our hands on. Once that is done, we'll meet up outside of the Bungie building and run around it seven times - naked.
