Subject: Casuals Vs Competitives

1 competitive player should be able to handle 4 casuals easily.

3 at most I have tested it on MLG ZB.

ill play for the casuals

i always thought of myself as the competitive type, but i...

-search solo
-use no mic
-play sparingly

i do however play mlg but am often a hinderence to my team due to the above reasons

all in all, i like the competitive style, im just not good enough..

i always enjoy playing against good competition so i think someone should pull this together

I'll play against any 3 of you and I haven't played Reach since January. Just to prove a point about how much Reach blows...

global warming isn't proven and won't be - it's more of a political play for funding for "research"

What am I reading?

You're making it hard for me....

Anyway, you did leave a hook though.

"The competitive side would win while being down 2 men"

But you can't overcome bloom when teams are fair?
What's bloom when compared to 2v4?

Duhr!

Every time I read your posts I wonder how you haven't realized how dumb you sound.

I feel dumb reading most of the comments so I try not to.

Who says that competitive players can't be crap?
Thought the terms 'competitive' and 'casual' was your attitude towards gaming and winning, not skills.

lol it can have multiple meanings but mostly competetive players are players who take gaming to the next level IMO.

This idea isn't the smartest one I've read so far, although I kind of want to support it, I know it is useless to try to convince the other side to convert.

Octagon is the most simple way to measure how good one's shot is. It gets rid of variables such as map control, weapon control, awareness and stuff.

I'm fine with Octagon or 1v1 mlg ffa sanctuary too. Just not for another month or so :(

No, its sitting in one spot and pulling the trigger directly across from you. Sniping people over cannon or when you are 1 shot and they are full shield in MLG measures how good your shots are... Also I realized why I have done bad against people in 1v1s before, it was because they had Astros or turtles while I had nothing. Being able to hear where someone is at all times when your opponent can't is a pretty huge disadvantage in a 1v1... Getting rid of awareness seems pretty stupid to me... But what do I know? I'm not a 1v1 expert.

Fair enough. But I think that the spawn trapping is so consistent that it happens nearly every kill. If you miss it it's your fault and error. And the reason I prefer octagon is because I think being able to shoot is the basis of a first person shooter, and should be used to measure skill. A normal 1v1 game is good to measure skill in that game, but not necessarily any game else. Too many variables. But 1v1 sanctuary is fine because it tests your shot and map/weapon awareness, which are probably the most important things in competitive Halo.

A competitive players main goal is to win.
A casuals main goal is to have fun regardless of whether that results in a win or loss.
It has nothing to do with individual skill or knowledge, it has to do with the reason you play.

What would be the point in this? The competitive side would win while being a man down...
This.

What are the casuals going to do? AR rush until the score is 50 to -1?

You don't have to be hardcore competitive gamer to be good at the game.

But like pretty much everyone said, this would be a no contest, especially when only one of the teams plays for victory.
