Subject: A better type of weekly challenge?

I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

IMO : The type of weekly challenges are a bit too challenging. I live in a different timezone so I couldn't be online for the "5 minute google search challenges", and neither do I possess any artistic skill to best something like this. Which brings me to my conclusion, would you prefer a different kind of mailsack challenge? Thoughts?

If it wasn't hard, it wouldn't be a challenge.

I don't know, dispite the degree of difficulty for some of the challenges, I am surprised and amazed at what the community puts out.

Key

I've been shortlisted with this. It's not difficult. And complaining that a challenge is too hard when something as simple as that^ to get on the shortlist for winning, then it isn't all that challenging.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

In short, you want a challenge that is perfectly designed as to allow you to win...

Don't we all.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

Well, you could be happy that Deej is even doing the mail sack let alone a reward for answering a question or doing something.

I acknowledge my user name is stupid. However, I promise I'm not.

Disclaimer: The latter is a lie.

I have not read many Mail Sacks recently, because I keep only dropping by here on Bungie.net due to my social, and rather annoying work life. However, I believe the phrase: 'variety is the spice of life' applies absolutely with the Mail Sack challenges.

It is almost impossible for a Mail Sack challenge to give everybody an equal chance in winning. The only way I see for this to be fulfilled would be in a lottery type of challenge, but then again, where the hell is a challenge in that?

Personally, I appreciate how the Mail Sack challenges can bring out some creativity from bungie.net, even when it takes a ridiculously sized dump on my own. However, I do agree with the notion that some of these challenges are too short, and do not give people within a different timezone a chance.

However, you must remember that these Mail Sack challenges were created purely for fun, and are a little treat for us while in The Dark. That is how they should remain. Mail Sack challenges should not be taken seriously at all.

Indeed I am, but I just wish to express my feelings.

I actually liked the weekly challenges so far. I didn't participate in the last challenge only due to time restraints (although a the collage I had in mind would have been grandiose). Any who, I would love variety in the challenges. It gives the community more of a chance to show our skills.

"Post a picture of a dish you made that represents Bungie and/or their games," for example. Of course that would mean not everyone could participate in all the challenges, but then again only one person actually wins.

What I would really love to see for a challenge is a contest in which we try creating a background (Bungie-related, of course) for the Bungie.net site. Something like that Christmas background the web team did a few years back. Winner gets to have his/her background for like a week or something. Maybe it stays until the new hotness arrives? That maybe a bit too much.

Also, holiday-based challenges would be cool. Best Bungie-related costume for Halloween, most handsome snowman for Christmas, sexiest meal for Thanksgiving, Yadda yadda, you get what I'm getting at, hopefully.

I don't particularly like these artistic challenges, I suck at things like that. I can see DeeJ's reasoning behind it though.

I already won a challenge anyway, so I don't think I'm allowed to participate again.

Кланяються мені!

Art challenge doesn't mean you need to paint like da Vinci to win. You just need to create something original and unique, that's the real challenge.

Hello community, If you have any questions or concerns then please feel free to ask, whatever it may be and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge/ability. (It may not be THE answer you're looking for but AN answer is better than NO answer.)

KEEP CALM AND PLAY XBOX
Thank you.

Just be glad there isn't 4 weekly challenges and 1 monthly challenge. Bricks would've been shat if that ever happened.

Bye.

I prefer the Challenges that aren't simple questions.

Seeing what the community submitted for their "online image" and the "HALO vs Star Wars" showed me how some users have brilliant minds for thinking outside the box. What we need are more challenges like this.

Example: This weeks challenge;
Submit a picture of yourself doing your best employee impersonation
.

I think art related challenges are better.
