Subject: Humans are NOT ForeRunners...

You say tomato; I say potato.

spartans have been wearing mjolnir armor long before the word "forerunner" meant an ancient race that built halo.

Well, the only things I could think of to shoot this theory down are probably able to be rationalized by you people.
So I'm gonna say this:
While I think of any solid proof that you're wrong right now, mark my words. When H3 comes out, humans and/or spartans will be shown to NOT be Forerunners or any evolution/deevolution thereof. If I'm wrong, you now have license to mock me the rest of my life (my email is mirwin_666@hotmail.com). If I'm right, I will have bragging rights and I will officially consider you guys to stupid.

That said, we'll see how it turns out...

Flaw: 343 calls Miranda Kyes a reclaimer in Halo 2. Also a dead marine in the libary in Halo 1. Not to mention Johnson in H2 again.

That actually ties into some of our posts above- where said perhaps the "Reclaimer" thing ties into some kind of gene, the same ones the Spartans posess.

But then, I also said that I've never understood "Reclaimer" to mean "ForeRunner" anyway- I'm not sure where that started. I always understood "Reclaimers" to mean humans, not necessarily ForeRunners. I think MC just happens to fall under both of those categories at the same time. Specifically, none of the Monitors talk to Keyes or Johnson the same way they talk to MC, as I stated before, when they say "when you asked me before..." As if MC had already been there, or someone like him.

Also, in "The Flood" there is a passage where 343 GS tells MC that his MJOLNIR armor isn't up to the final version yet, and is only like level 5 out of 12? Or something like that, I can't quite remember. Anyone with the books care to help me on that? I loaned mine out. It's in the library chapter.

The time travel theory is also an interesting one- that perhaps MC time travels somehow- I'm not sure if I like it though- circular stories always get on my nerves- I tend to think that all the hints point towards the ForeRunners having MJOLNIR armor, and the Spartans, because of some evolutionary leap, are able to 1)wield it, and 2)operate ForeRunner technology instinctively.

The many "Halo - Bible" threads caused me to think about something else interesting, that might hint even moreso towards this theory.

In the Bible, John the Baptist was the forerunner to Jesus, paving the way for him. It's interesting to note that John is the Master Chief in this series, and is very familiar mysteriously with ForeRunner technology. I think that is another clue that could be buried there.

...only in The Flood

The title of this thread made me think you were almost sane, then you had to go and ruin it.
