guys don't we have lives to live?

I'm not anti Bungie you moron, I just want them held accountable for their idiotic decisions.

They made good games in the past and then they pooped out Reach.

the only way you can do that is if you sue them, but in the end they will win.
so get over it and move on with your life.

Reach succeeded in sales by d-ridding off the H3 popularity.

There's an experiment I would of loved to do.

-Go back in time
-Change Halo: Reach to -> Reach alone

Would of Reach been as "sales successful" as it was.

But anyways, as you said, the population as spoken.
Excluding ODST, it's the least played Halo title online.

Life checking?

I win. As usual.

lol - I think a reality check is more appropriate. You've been on here long enough to know how pointless and non-winning your thread is. You're either trolling as hard as you can, or you're a few volumes short of a full encyclopedia set. The only thing getting drier and more boring than vanilla Reach is the vanilla rage. Just quit Reach or retire to the FT forum. You're going to give yourself heart palpitations if you try to hold out on the mains much longer.

Considering Reach broke Halo 3s monetary sales record (thus, making more money), gamble successful.

Reach failed to hold H3's population for more than a month.
Gamble lost.

Also, got a link to your statement or are you just pulling the numbers from an area where the sun don,t shine.

Reach broke H3s sales number day one. This is actually common knowledge. The gamble was that Reach was going to make more money. Guess what, it did. Population at any given time has nothing to do with the people that buy the game. Plenty can buy it and not play it very often, MS still has your money. Remember launch day with close to 2 million people on line? I don't suppose they got it all for free, eh? Granted, Halo 3 may have sold more PHYSICAL COPIES, but it hasn't made more money then Reach.

Though since you're the Halo 3 population super expert, do YOU have a link to some numbers? Also, could you answer me this?

A) All the way up until Sept 14th 2010, people played Halo 3, right? Then Reach launched.

B) Hundreds of thousands of people stop playing Reach, because it's a "Halo that's not Halo"

C) Halo 3 never sees the population it once did again.

So, hundred of thousands (hell, I've even seen someone say 'millions') of people leave Reach, want a competitive Halo title that feels like Halo, and instead of playing Halo 3, they what? Vanish? Went to CoD instead?

I don't owe these randoms an explanation for anything I've done to help numerous players get better.

They're just that, randoms. I only deal with peasants how I wish.

Watch out gang, we got a....

I think it was without question with product recognition it would break records wulfwood, but I think the question blueberry over there wants to mention is that they lacked the competency to insert proper mechanics in there. BTW, Im still waiting for an answer.

He thinks that because he pays his $60 a year plus $60 for the game he can call the shots. *Refer back to link*.

It amuses me when randoms who don't know me type up paragraphs trying to convince themselves they do to make them feel better about themselves.

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

If you type words in a tone of dominance, trying to feel more superior then one another, then you brought it on yourself. Especially if it is over something as stupid as a video game. If you are worried that your skeleton in the closet will be revealed then don't give people a reason to harass you.

Seriously though, this game is 1 1/2 years old and it isn't going to be fixed or get any better. You either like the game or you don't. But if you don't like it then cry me a river, build a bridge and get over it. Don't like it, don't play it.

...And don't bug the people that actually like the game and enjoy playing it. A lot of them don't care what happens to the game either.

And some do care what happens to a series they have learned to play and love for 10 years.

They care when they see that amazing series turn into something as Reach.

Solution to your problem:
STEP 1) "just give it up. move on with your life."
STEP 2) "don't like the thread, don't click the thread."
STEP 3) "your problem is solved."

This is a public forum. Questions will be asked, opinions will be shared, and people will troll. If you find yourself making petty insults towards other, then thats a good sign you should move to a different thread. If you cannot tell the difference between ignorance and obvious flamebait, then you probably shouldnt be on a forum. If you have little to no tolerance, then you probably be on the Internet.

Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Boy Bookshelf, you sure have a way of touching the nerves of angst-ridden teenagers. This is probably the highest level of mad I've seen on this forum in a while.

tl;dr this thread is lulz.

Reach did, Halo 3 sold 2.8 million copies in the first 24 hours and only 3.3 million in the first 2 weeks. Reach sold 3.4 million in the first 24 hours.

Considering Reach was so bad and caused tons of people to lose interested in it and Halo in general, I wouldn't call it successful.

There is no gamble in a successful franchise. It's a guarantee that the title is going to make a lot of sales, due to the reputation of the series. The only thing that matters (unless you're a greedy developer) is if the game is well received by the fans. Because then the fans will want to buy the next installment (Halo 3-Halo Reach). Overall Reach was not well received, and therefore failed.
