Why?

Notice there is no Armor lock. You cannot choose armor lock. Only trolls can choose armor lock.

Evade, it is probably one of the more subtle ones. But it sticks out.(I'm not sure if that makes sense)

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

Hologram is the only AA worth using unless you're sick of tip-toeing around maps. It eats power weapon ammo, misdirects players' attention, and doesn't require a vulnerable position to utilize.

It's twice as annoying in FFA games.

It was nicksta's stats that I pulled. Regardless, my point stands. Playlists with no AAs just die. Vanilla TS still holds the main chunk of the population.
You complain about AAs, and then when they've been removed, you find a new reason to complain. A new excuse, as it were.

I love Classic, and the fact that everybody -blam!-es about AAs but ignores the playlists that don't have them pisses me off.

And what do you play, doubles? What AAs do they use?

Because Bungie stats are up to date and extremely relevant- oh wait. Like I said in my previous post, I'm an MLG player now.

Just because a playlist is 'dead' (which MLG certainly isn't) doesn't mean it's not good. There's a reason that the most populated playlists in Reach are Living Dead and default Slayer - because the game is filled with casual players who have no idea what competitive gameplay is.

i havent played doubles in forever now either or my 360 for that matter.
but whenever i do get online i play MLG.

i tried going back to AAs a few days ago by playing doubles again and i absolutely hated it, it reminded me how stupid sprint and jetpack was.

Every playlist that still has loadouts is extremely boring/stupid there is absolutely no competition in reach.

(Maybe the occasional game when you match people you know but thats besides the point)

Welcome to the internet. Joy dies here.

First of all, I pull b.net stats because I hate 343's website, and it runs like -blam!-.
MLG obviously isn't dead - I'm just frustrated that it has a mediocre population. I don't see why it hasn't drawn more players back. I play solo, so low population usually means I get really bad matches, skill-wise. I know nobody believes there's trueskill in Reach, but there is, and it's very similar to Halo 3's. Just far less strict. I wish I could adjust my trueskill strictness, but afaik the player pref settings just look for other players with that player pref.

But my point, which I suppose was a little unclear, was that playlists with much better bloom/AA situations are underpopulated and complained about just as much. You can blame that on Reach's history, or you can blame it on competing games, but it comes down to the fact that 343 are trying to give us what we want, but all they accomplished is a huge increase in the complaining and a series of minor population increases that each lasted for all of a day or two. I was really excited about Classic in CEA. I got it at launch, took it home and went online. I figured the population was low because not a lot of people had it yet, but it never really got that much higher. I mean it was up for a few days, but after that, it was back to the 1-2k/playlist, and <1k off-peak. Until they pulled Squad, Classic wasn't even the biggest population in the hopper.

Jetpack lol.

Mt favorite AA is the AA that gets rid of all the AA's. That AA is code named the "Halo trilogy."

My favorite Armor Ability is Active Camo (even though it sucks).
