Ok......i have a pc and lap top...i downloaded halo in laptop...both can play multiplayer.......
pc halo's multiplayer works great.......laptop....on it.....a few seconds was fine...then it stops...lags.. and say... "network connection was lost"... this happened to all the server i entered...HELP!! i hear you have to forward the port thing...can anyone EXPLAIN TO ME ... how that works? and...last time...i searched this thread made up by someone...then the old thread went back to the first page...then noone replied..so i am making this new one...so anyone mind helping me?

is it a wireless connection? you may have a weak spot, unless the signal is strong. Port forwarding is just for dedicated servers only, you don't need to do that

if you have symantec antivirus auto-protect, disable it when you go to play halo. it makes you lag out.

I went to the network system, i didnt even fire wall halo....and the wireless connection...the signal is high...so how?

I often play Halo LAN, a couple of guys had this problem. Turns out they all had the same network card, once this was changed everything worked fine.
Looks very likely that your wireless card is the problem.

Check for a few things: If you've got a firewall, allow Halo and see what happens. If that doesn't work, shut down the entire darned firewall and retry it. If that doesn't work, try unhooking your wireless and using a standard ethernet connection directly from your computer to the internet. If that doesn't work, try opening ports 2302 and 2303 for communication to the internet.
