We've heard many times that mods don't tend to like to move threads because of the problems that arise. This thread is an example. The OP is partially down the page and the thread was duplicated. What about the moving process causes theses errors?

It used to be that the OP would completely disappear. Looks like that has changed...although it could just be because it's a poll.

In the ones I have seen moved, The original post is all by itself (Replies to the post are all missing) with a link to the new location.

I've seen that error before in past threads, but I wasn't aware it was due to threads being moved. Looks like newer posts are at the top.

i agree with this statement. i have seen it work several times, but this is a mess up. hmmm i would like to hear from a webteam member just to see what they say

I haven't actually seen this before, perhaps the reason why I haven't noticed is because most threads don't have polls in them.
