Halo is a military based game. so how should it play now that it has the power of the 360 behind it? should we be able to look around corners, command troops, take a look a at command map, and call in things like airstrikes and support; or should we keep it the as the same good old first person shooter? (overall i prefer the first person)
(if your wondering about all the hilterbungie stuff on this thread, he's this guy who's been going around spamming everybody in german, translated it's pretty nasty.)

I would like abilities like Brute Force had, where you could tell one of your squad members to go to a particular place that you chose. Or to stay back while you scouted ahead. That'd be neat.

That way your marines wouldn't die so fast by just running and shooting at the enemy. That's kinda what I didn't like about Halo 2. Covie AI was improved, but the human AI was just as "LOOK AT ME! SHOOT ME!" as halo 1 was.

I say add a few small commands to the AI via the D-pad

that way you dont have to babysit the troops, but atleast you have some control of them

Some basic command options would be nice. Just some stuff like hold here, cover me, get in/out of vehicles to make them a little bit more controllable, cus in H2 they were basicly dear in headlights.

They wouldn't detract from the "shoot and dont think" method at all, theres no reason why you need to use them, they are just there if you want to use them to add a bit more strategy to the game.

Yeah, I think some basic command options would be a great addition, too. Halo isn't exactly a fire-and-forget game- there is at least a tiny bit of strategy involved. I'd like to see the strategy upped just a tad, but not to the point of say Ghost Recon or anything. I think it would be a shame to have the final Halo story (at least as far as we know for this storyline) not take full advantage of some of the 360's awesome capabilities in this department.

the least i want is for the marines to actually shoot straight, drive intelligently, use some strategy, and not get stuck and stand in one place because the ai can't go any further.

i'd like the command function to be something like an old star wars game called republic commando. you can position you guys to areas where they learn to take cover, shoot and take down enemies.

Why would you change the best game with stuff from lesser games in it. It obviously doesnt need this stuff, and could possibly not benefit from these changes. Personally I think it would be worse with stuff from any other games, ex. Commands, Look Around Corners etc.

I'd love it if teamwork and tactics were further implemented into the halo games, although balance would need to be maintained in order to keep it halo. Think massive maps with heaps of vehicles and men at your command.
