i think its funny that the worst Halo game is still better than 95% of the crap out their.
there

Donkey Kong 64, Jet Force Gemini, Shadows of the Empire, Kirby and the Crystal Shards, Super Smash Brothers, Super Smash Brothers melee, Kirby Air Ride, the original Sonic, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Super Mario Sunshine, Halo 1, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3 ODST, Skyrim, Assassin's Creed, Assassin's Creed 2, Assassin's Creed Revelations, and practically 5000 (hyperbole right there) other games are better than Reach.

About all the games (excluding CE) you listed also have practically 5000 other games better than them.

You forgot Mario Kart.

Reach: *halo 3 was better*

You should try out the MLG playlist man.

ZBNS is great.

Even MLG is way to easy, not even close to Halo 3. Over half my games in Halo 3 were in MLG so I know what a competitive game looks like and Reach isn't even close...

From what they've been saying, it sounds like Halo 4 is going to be worse than Reach so ya. I didn't think they could do worse than Reach but pretty sure its about to happen with Halo 4, thats why they're not having a beta because people will realize how bad it sucks and not buy it... Halo 2 and 3 were better than 1 as far as competitive wise goes, but since Halo 1 was the first competitive game ever on Xbox it needs to be up there with the best of them...

Why do people like you continue to make these threads. Everyone knows that Reach isn't a good Halo game.

in some ways your right. don't get me wrong, i think the games is awesome, but it doesn't have the same feel like the ones when you are MasterChief. it's just missing something.

I don't understand why people say Reach is awful. Is it a great game for competitive multiplayer? No, but that doesn't mean it can't be fun. Custom Games are so much fun and Forge is amazing. Again, Reach isn't great for multiplayer, but it doesn't fail on a whole. Overall, it is still a good game.

It's really not and I have been around for a while. This is a huge misconception. Both might equally be bad and I will continue to say 2 and 3 were epic for the competetive gaming community.

Halo 1,2 and 3 were the single most...

With that pointed out, I'd like to say I'm an above average player in both Halo 3 and even more so in Reach. I loved both games. While I do think that Halo 3 is better, that doesn't mean I have to hate Reach.

I have heard all the -blam!- stuff. What I'm saying is that, I hope there are enough settings to make good gametypes, ie a setting for the amount of bloom, or one that removes the random weapon drops.

or are you saying that the lack of these settings has already been confirmed? I haven't been keeping up with most of the updates.

The definition of 'terrible' has changed. Now what you like is terrible, and what you consider terrible makes millions of dollars and appeals to hundreds of thousands of fans.

*tens of thousands of fans

Reach doesn't appeal to even 100,000 people anymore.

Similarities to CoD:
1) Sprint
2) Bloom

That's about where that ends. Halo still has much longer kill times, much more precision in almost all the important weapons, and it has map control.

If you play any of the competitive lists with any regularity you'd know Reach is more competitive than any CoD game out there.

Reach has far more similarities to CoD than you would think. Not that I want to compare it with CoD, but Bungie blatantly tried to rip-off Modern Warfare 2.

Reach in fact tried to appeal to the Modern Warfare 2 audience. Halo having longer killtimes than CoD isn't either a virtue nor a defect. Longer killtimes promote slow gameplay and forgive mistakes like poping your head in front of multiple enemies since you can just run away. It also allows players to out-skill oponents who see them first, but the gameplay is still slower paced.

Combine slow paced gameplay with a ridiculously high Max Rank (Inheritor) and you have a ton of players giving up on the ranking system. But, for the ranking system to work, you have to have a game worth playing in the first place. Reach barely fulfills that condition.

I would dare to say you have more precision in most CoD weapons than any of the Reach ones, seeing how the supposed "precision" weapons in Reach like the DMR and Needle Rifle all suffer from bloom. You don't have that random factor while aiming in CoD, unless you fire from the hip.

Map control is also in CoD, but CoD players don't get rewarded with power weapons for holding an area of the map.

And finally, saying Reach is more competitive than any CoD game out there is barely even a compliment. Competitive settings in CoD don't need as much tweaking as the ones in Reach. And even after tweaking Reach to suit if for a competitive ambient, it still sucks.

Hell, MLG still has bleedthrough in.

Seriously, stop comparing Halo and Cod, both are good games, but both have very different play styles, the only things that halo and COD have similarities is that both are FPS and both are Competitive, besides that they have very different play style and game play. Doesn't mean one is better than the other because its impossible to legitimacy compare, it just people today think their opinion is solid fact. And another thing, most people that play and like it aren't part of the "community" more than 70% are people who don't go here or talk about it on forums. SO those people who play the game are the real gamers not people who talk about it all day online.

The only reason you like Reach is because you think your rank makes you look good. Well if anyone can achieve it if they just put a lot of time in then rank means nothing. 95% of all inheritors suck I guarantee you. Its no different than the people who bought 50's in Halo 3, its easy to point out the ones that suck. when someone that is the lowest rank in the game can be as good or better than the person who is the highest it shows a broken ranking system. Reach was the biggest fail at ripping of COD gameplay. Its like they didn't even try to hide it which makes it even worse. They basically slapped Halo in the face with a COD disk.
