I'm placing you on the hitlist.

Is that why it is taking so long to announce? Is the development of this new game just in a big mess and Bungie is hesitating to annouce it?

Bobcast is paid in MILF blind dates.

If it doesn't get announced at E3 then I'll start to worry.

Seeking validation are we? Hmm...

The time it takes to make a completely brand new assets within a new IP takes a long time to develop. That and they ARE with ACTIVISION, which might affect the decision making process especially with Studio's tendancy to be more ambitious, and Activision mainly investing in projects that has already proven to be successful. So... I hope it's not any of those things.

But we need to be here so Bungie know's it still has a community that backs it. (:

New IPs take a while to develop. You don't want to show stuff to the public that isn't finished - it has the possibility to scare off buyers.

Bungie are simply waiting until they have something concrete to show us.

the only problem i have with mine is that it's unstable,[very shakey],so you'd need a tripod for it.

Just drink a beer and everything will be ok

Or maybe they are actually taking care with the dev. process.

Making games properly takes time. Especially since they are completely designing a new universe as apposed to simply another entry in a series.

Or maybe they're just waiting until it's too late for us all...

Don't start to worry. I have a thought that they would skip the E3 on purpose to get people wondering that much more.

The enemy of my enemy shall die next.

I know the voices in my head are not real, but they have some great ideas.

Brown chicken Brown cow!

Bungie is a proven developer so Activision should have faith in them.

Its prob just taking a while as its a new IP, they want to iron things out before announcing anything.

They are developing a whole new *Universe* Not just a new game. I would honestly not be supprised if we didn't hear anything until 2013. with a 2014 release.

This, and they are simply waiting till the eyes of the world will already be focused on them to show it off.

E3 2012. BELIEVE.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Stop expecting new games so frequently like the copy-pasting of Call of Duty. Everyone had to wait 3 years for Halo 3 and Halo: Reach. Expect Fall 2012 or Fall 2013.

We're not expecting full details, just a teaser trailer. If you recall, they did the same thing with Reach, they revealed a teaser trailer which set up the most basic premise of the game, shut up about it till the VGA Awards in December, then slowly started revealing stuff from there.

Don't see why they wouldn't do the same thing in this instance, given if they are that far along in the process.

Then again, they've been having a core team of writers and such hammering out the details of said universe for quite a few years now. I'm sure most the cultural intricacies are more or less solidified by now.

I have a good feeling they'll give us at the very least a hint on bungie day, But game developing takes awhile it doesn't go smoothy like they want it all the time

They've only been working on it full time for a few months. You're just an impatient fan who can't stand to leave a company alone to work on a product so that it isn't rushed out and ends up being -blam!-.

Exactly. Now that they're being relatively left to their own devices and time constraints other than what I'm almost certain are VERY loose ones imposed on them by their partner and publisher Activision, we should be nothing but happy that they now have all the time in the world (relatively) to make their next game.

People used to complain all the time about "stupid M$FT" and their constant restrictions and deadlines imposed on Bungie which resulted in parts of games being mediocre compared to what there was a potential for. Now that they're gone and Bungie is free, the community is taking the place of Microsoft and imposing these same time constraints of "announce by E3" or "announce by Bungie Day".

Let the dude(tte)s work.

LEAVE BUNGIE ALONE! I'M SERIOUS!!!

...Once the basic premise of the game is finalized (which I assume it is by now), it's not hard to construct a teaser trailer from that. It has nothing to do with rushing things.

I'd much rather a gameplay trailer, wouldn't you? CG is nice but i find it sets expectations too high and introduces unfinished or unused gameplay ideas that people get their hopes up for. Even the opening (in engine) cinematic or something like that would be better, IMO.

They hype that will be built by showing us something definite and real about their next game, even if it's only a basic premise, outweighs any dissapointment that might come with "Oh the graphics aren't as good as they were with the first teaser trailer."

I suppose you're right. I guess I just feel people are way too impatient with the whole process in general so far.
