Halo: Reach is the beginning of a new age for gaming.
It proves that developers can get away with punishing their players instead of fixing their game....and yet the fanboys will still sing praises to them.
-blam!- all of you fanboys!
but what about watching the player overcome those crutches?
Let's see how well he snipes at someone that's flying through the air.
Let's see how he handles sniping someone using Armor lock.
You continue to look at it from one point of view.
It's NOT how easy it is to enter into armor lock.
It's what YOU DO to overcome the guy using armor lock.
THAT IS THE SKILLFUL PART!
You people need to get a -blam!- clue already!
Help noobs, I don't care, I'm better than them. THEY NEED THE CRUTCH! I'll still win.
Now here's you
"OMG, I have to work harder.... WAH!!!"
"OMG, the game is trying to fill in the skill gap, so that I'm actually having to put forth an effort!...WAH!!!!"
Why do you people insist on increasing the skill gap? All that translates into for YOU is, you having to put less effort into the game.... Why not just get a bot to play the damn game for you then?
Do you or do you not want quality matchups?
If giving crutch's to bad players helps accomplish that goal... what's the problem? Why is it so bad to have the game help fill the gap, so that EVERY MATCH, regardless of the skill levels of players within...could actually be considered a semi-fair matchup? But instead you insist on a system that creates a huge gap.
