Many older members also feel disillusioned and your interaction is vital ensuring they feel valued. Community humpdays are definitely a step in the right direction. Asking the community for feedback that you will forward on to different Bungie factions would also be awesome (especially if those factions responded).
You should be the communities portal between Bungie and the community; it should not be a one way process. You ask, we answer. We ask, you answer. Even if the answer is "I can't answer that right now, but uh..." I assure you any titbit is better than radio static. You are describing exactly what bungie.net has been historically and if you asked Achronos he would explain that is the site's purpose. However, here we have a new and impressionable Community guy that seems to think otherwise. bungie.net neednt be viewed as a sandbox for immature fans, complete with animal feces that they occasionally fling at one another. Nor should it be the home they leave at 16. It could be a centralised go-to place for the community; the potential is there and for it to be realised the mentality of those at the top (their view of the site) needs to changeA few excerts from a thread talking to DeeJ in Mythix, just after he went gold.
So far he has absolutely delivered. In spite of the burdens of gold text he feels like a part of the community: fan first, employee second.
