And they would not have LAN support because....

I fail to see how they could support multiplayer effectivly without LAN support. Why remove a key feature of your previous 2 hits in the 3rd installment?

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Dude, LAN can happen with any mutliplayer game. And the 360 has LAN capabilities.

the only reason they wouldn't have lan is so that people dont use 3rd party programs to play it over the internet...frig i forget what game came out recently but it didn't have lan...was it bf2??

LAN = Local Area Network - the ability to hook up and play OFFLINE, not just over the internet on xbox live.
I knew the first and 2nd game supported it already but with all the changes with so many new games being able to play over xbox live... many of the developers leave it out! Look @ Battlefield 2 MC for example... you can only play multiplayer over xbox live. There are lots of great games that are doing this now.
I just hope that they keep it in for all of us hardcore LAN players. Those of us that use it as a golden excuse to get away from the wives and play Halo 2 with the guys. Halo 2 in many ways has become a cult that we are all so very fond of.

So, all I really want to know is... HAVE THEY CONFIRMED IT OR NOT YET?

No speculations or assumptions please.
