I wish certain things like this would be encorporated into halo 3 multiplayer and single player:
--You can sidle against a wall, look around a corner, and either:
----blind fire
----use your gun like a baseball bat and clock em over the skull
--If you're crouched you jump higher
--They have multiple random close combat moves:
----You run up behind a guy and press "B"
------twist and snap neck
------take out knife and cut throat/stab in the side/cut spinal cord
----You run up to a guy from the side and press "B"
------clothesline him, he falls on the ground unconcious for maybe 5 seconds, then you can shoot his body
------punch/clock him with your gun right in the skull, flipping him and killing him
----You run straight at him and press "B"
------stab him through with your gun/knife/energy knife for Elites
------Punch his face mask in
------have a combo where you break his knees backwards, then knee him in the face, flipping him backwards--As an Elite, you grab his head, and crush it
-All out tackle if you have no ammo
-Spartan: (if in flat area)
--you tackle and punch face in. Then, your character gets back up and pointing in the same direction, you now have his gun and dropped your own
--grab his gun and kick him in the face, taking down opponent's shield and killing half his health
(near wall)
--You tackle, and smash him into a wall, killing him, grabbing gun and turning around before you regain control of your character
--punch him in the stomach, then punch him in the face when he is stunned.
-Elite: (in flat area)
--Tackle and rip gun out of his hands, followed by a head-butt, crushing opponent's skull
--Elite kicks both legs in the air, flying into the opponent, the opponent drops gun and you immediately pick it up
(near wall)
--charges straight at the enemy, punches him in the stomach 1-3 times, then shoulders him into the wall, crushing his midsection, killing him.
--pins him to the wall, with the Elite's arm to his neck, then the Elite takes his gun with his right arm, and shoots him in the face
In each of these situations, the time you are hit and do not have control of your character, you have rag-doll physics, if you hit a low wall, you flip, another character, the other character goes with your body. This way, if you send an opponent flying, you could get a double-kill if you hit another enemy with the guy's body you just kicked, and sent them flying into a bottomless pit. Because the Spartan and Elite move so insanely fast, the motions would go through real quick, then you would regain control. The Elite has a few stronger moves, they are stronger after all.
