If you were to fix the betrayal booting problem how would you do it?
If it were me I would just remove friendly fire all together.
What would you do?

Don't betray people?

Simple concept to understand.

I don't get why they call it "friendly" fire. It's not exactly friendly, firing on your own teammates is it?

Nothing is wrong with it.

Friendly fire isn't.

The Renaissance Man; The Bigger Fool.

I see two solutions.

1. Turn friendly fire off.
2. Have the option to boot pop-up every time a betrayal occurs. (Why it doesn't show up sometimes, I struggle to understand)

1. Turn friendly fire off.
Yeah, let's dumb the game down even more.
2. Have the option to boot pop-up every time a betrayal occurs. (Why it doesn't show up sometimes, I struggle to understand)It's based off the betrayers recent history. Betray often = option comes up more.

Why would we turn off friendly fire? So you can blindly fire into teammates without worry? That would be silly.

Face the consequences of not thinking before you acted.

I barely betray.
A teammate jumped in front of a rocket I shot at an enemy, he died, I got booted.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Have 343 turn friendly fire off for one month in every playlist, and then people vote whether they keep it or not.

The only problem with this is idiots making tons of alts to vote for turning friendly fire back on.

Or, far more likely, idiots making tons of alts to vote for keeping it off.

Always up for REACH customs!

The system could be slightly improved by considering HOW the betrayal happened before offering the boot screen. For example, if you betray an ally with a close range weapon like an AR or Shotgun when there are no enemies around, it's almost definitely intentional. If you betray an ally with a rocket when he's five feet from an enemy, it's more likely to be an accident.
