Subject: Why doesn't anyone use a microphone on halo anymore?

Shoryuken!

Mythic Mode Progress on Reach:
Winter Contingency, perfection.
Other levels in progress.

I use a mic, but I've been having the uncanny luck of always running into kids asking everyone and myself to be their friend or sing/scream in the mic.

So I mute them...They can't hear me and I can't hear them.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Maybe you muted the headphone use, OP?

/s

Cause I play with friends, so I don't need to talk to anyone except them. Or I'm in a party.

Have faith in me

People are in parties. Also, they might have it on 'mute', which means they mute everyone, so they can't see if your using a mic or in a party. Then, you can see that on their either...

I am not a bad person

I only ever use it if everyone else is
If no one uses it whats the point? being the only voice in the match?

In memory of those fallen in the defense of Earth and her colonies.

March 3, 2553

Remember the days when people talked in game chat.
Remember the trash talking.
Remember when Halo was actually good.

Remember Halo 3.

Normally I only use a mic with people I know in a party, or sometimes in MLG if everyone else is (and isn't being a douche)

I use my mic but I usually turn it off whenever I hear some foreign 12 year old singing in hindu.

The Internet is an empowerment tool that's agnostic; it doesn't care about race, gender, or age.

it doesnt matter to me i have someone to go in to MM with me at all times of the day.

speaking of... I havent seen you on in a while... have we just been on at different times or did you go missing?

I also never have problems with people and MICs. Either I am with a party or in MLG so almost everyone has mics. If I ever search non-party and not MLG I usually dont have my mic in because I am just screwing around and dont feel like talking to or listening to others

I play at very random times and I don't generally use a mic unless I'm with friends.

Infection in Halo 3 isn't zombie killing; it's ethnic cleansing. Have you ever noticed that these "zombies" are just black Spartans?

I don't care for talking to strangers. If I'm using a headset, it's because my friends are on-line and I want to have a conversation with them - it will never be plugged it at any other time. Additionally, I have everyone but my friends list muted by default.

The last time I talked to anyone who wasn't on my friends list was when I was still playing Red Faction Guerilla and that was only because the player base at that point was so small that you could only fill a 12-person lobby at peak times when twelve people were actually on together and you could say, "hogging the nano rifle again?" to someone who you've never spoken a word to before in your life and they'd reply, "at least I can hit something with it."
