Hanger one I just shredded with the SMGs until ammo was out and I just threw 'nades like a boss while BRing.

My experience playing Cairo Station on Legendary

I would also really enjoy perhaps terminal footage of Brutes slaughtering Elites. It'd be nice throw back to Halo-lore.

Yeah, that or just flashback cutscenes altogether would be nice.

Half of what I say is true. The other half are also lies.

Not entirely on topic but ODST 2 is what I want to see. Same engine, but with a story line similar to H2, with Elites and Humans in separate storylines that eventually meet.

Maybe the humans are retaking Harvest after the end of H3 and the brutes have set up there. Elites are hunting a prophet that comes to Harvest for support from the brutes. Elites and humans form uneasy relationship. Throw in some space battles and allow multiple objectives and paths to them and everything's golden.

I'm pretty sure they already took back Harvest before Halo 3.
I'm sure they could think of somewhere to retake.

Well, I can understand where you're coming from. The ODSTs did have some good armor, though. I wouldn't expect them to have the same health as say...a soldier in Modern Warfare or something.

Yeah, that's true. Especially considering the amount of worlds that were lost to the Covenant. Maybe they could even have some missions where ODSTs have to deal with Innies.

I would like to see some more precipitation.

Agreed.
The precipitation that was present in the game was good, but I want more.

I was fine with the way they handled the precipitation. The atmosphere was simply outstanding. I guess I wouldn't mind seeing more. I'm just not sure if it'd go well with the overall superb atmosphere that they've already established.

I'd have liked for there to be some more evidence that normal marines aren't completely worthless compared to ODSTs. Like seeing survivors running around at night, or even finding Marine strong points that had been held, and were still occupied.

ODST made marines look like absolute garbage, while in Halo 3 they were at least relevant.

There should have been an easter egg like the postman in Legend of Zelda games. A marine (running on caffeine) opening doors before you get to them and confusing Covies. Catching up to him would let you swap your gun for his... BR!

It'd have been reminiscent of H2's E3 demo. Damn. ODST was so close.

Throw some live Elites in the campaign. I thought it would be awesome to fight them and have three-way firefights.

They threw in the elite model about 14 times just in Mombasa Streets, all dead, with all their animations still in the game. The biggest waste of space in a Halo game period.

Agreed, they needed to be used, not just as a nostalgic throwback to H2, but not just waste space where there could have been more space for other, maybe important, humans or covies.

The Elites weren't just wasted space. They did serve a purpose. The whole point of showing the dead Elites was to show that Covenant Civil War that was going on during that particular time period.

Its funny; the lack of human contact in Mombassa Streets was what defined the game and gave it the solitary and dangerous atmosphere, but still, I would have liked to have had a few encounters with marines, civilians, police whatever.

Petition for ODST 2?

Yeah, it was a smart move to not have much contact with other military personnel because we're supposed to feel more lonely, isolated, etc.

Well, I think them actually going into the carrier would make for a good few missions, maybe. But, not a whole campaign.

You're right, I should have thought about that a bit more, another thing I would add would be the Battle rifle.

Ahh, yes. A lot of ODST fans would have liked to of seen the Battle Rifle, including myself.

I enjoyed using the silenced and scoped SMG, though. Also the pistol was pretty kickass, as well. Still, having the BR would be nice.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

I'm personally glad the BR wasn't in ODST. I liked having to rely on a mix of weapons for different situations rather than having the BR to use in EVERY circumstance. The Silenced Pistol and SMG were excellent replacements.

Yeah, I completely understand where you're coming from. It was nice to use a variety of weapons rather than just sticking to the BR all the time. Not to contradict my other statement, I do think it would've been nice to see it. But, maybe only in Firefight or something like that. Or maybe just a few small sections of the campaign.
