I'm gonna finish it. Just like Jigga did to the pyramid.

So I have come up with a possible idea to help move b.net into a clearer direction through the darkness. Trusted members of the community take up roles to bring something fresh and cool to the website and will serve as an addition to DeeJ's weekly endeavours. I don't know what they could do but what do you think of the idea?

yay or nay.

Nay.

  • 05.15.2012 12:25 PM PDT

Yay. What the hell, would be nice :)

  • 05.15.2012 12:25 PM PDT

I'm no writer, but I've seen some around here that have great writing skills, so why not put it to the test.

So basically community members doing DeeJ's job for him? It seems better this way, DeeJ knows what he is doing, but he has shown he's open to suggestions too.

  • 05.15.2012 12:30 PM PDT

Key

It's not that we don't need this, it's just that it'd be frivolous. DeeJ's job, while not basic or close to being "cushy", isn't so much that it needs to be or a normal person would think there would be a reason to be split up into more than one, let alone several.

not doing it for him, but doing it next to him. Interaction on bungie.net is just one facet of his job.

Bye.

Kinda like the old News Feed? Anyone could submit a post for a Master Forum Ninja/Employee to scrutinize and, if it was acceptable, publish.

I would mind this feature making a return.

:-)

If you really have an interest for this thing, I'd say make a group. It sounds like something pretty fun to do.

Questions lead to learning, learning leads to kowledge, knowledge leads to understanding, understanding leads to peace.

"I would kill to get a killionaire... 10 times... digitally."

Yay. It adds extra content for those of us that can never get enough bungie.net. They would have to have a good screening process though, ex. no one from the flood. I'm all for it though. It wouldn't be taking away from DeeJ's job, more like, adding to it.

That's one hell of a contradiction.

What I was trying to get across is that I'm not trying to make the argument that we don't need this. Because that argument is stupid. We don't "need" half the features on here.

But the idea would be a bit silly with the current set up of weekly content.

It seems to me that everyone in our Community is a writer, as evidenced by the fact that you continue to post to these forums in impressive numbers. Some of the best features on our site are the ones that give you a voice. That will continue. I am crafting one right now, in fact.

If you find yourself craving a venue where you can give air to the voice that speaks for your inner gamer, the Internet is riddled with free venues that you can customize as your own personal lectern. Many respawns ago, I started my very own blog where I would rant about gamer culture. It took me to amazing places and introduced me to amazing people. I highly recommend the pastime, if you are so inspired.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

Los Paranoias

In terms of writing things that pertain to Bungie as a company, I don't think that would work, but, if you remember, The Flood actually used to be filled with wonderful stories, written by those that posted there.

So, in a way, I guess that's what you want? You have to remember, DeeJ knows more than the common user does about Bungie because, well, he works there. I think. I don't know. Maybe not, but you get my point.

This thread would have appealed to me more if it was written with crayons.

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I have an idea, what if Deej posted a few pics we made in every mailsack as kind of a community art wall.

~:O>~~

I will be more then happy to along with this idea... I have time and energy to do some extensive writing (and other artistic something's)... but how would this be followed up? What would we do and how would we do it?

I had a read through and enjoyed some of the older entries, e.g. Conclusion: DeeJ is at his best when pissed off about something.

And I'm almost certain that there are many members of our community who hope to unleash that passion once more...

But at what cost? And will they like what they see?

I'm betting they will.
