Subject: Question about UNSC Ships

Would love it for someone to clarify this for me, are UNSC ships built in atmosphere or in space? And where does the UNSC procure the resources to create such massive ships?

Strange evolution how people have come to believe
That we are it's greatest achievement
We're barely, we're just a collection of cells
Overrating themselves

With slipspace capability, resources aren't an issue. There is an entire universe full of resources.

I imagine the size of the ship would dictate where it was built.

Anything larger than a frigate was built in orbital docks...

Well that is until Halo Reach took a giant dump all over canon.

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

*WARNING* IT IS MY OPINION.

Most of UNSC ships are constructed in zero gee environment, nothing more than that.

Frigates are theoretically possible to construct in atmosphere but it would take too much time and too much resources. So, most of ships usually get constructed in zero gee environment only.

HAHA it may dump all over canon, but it is really cool to see the ships in atmosphere (one of the live-action shorts showed one in the distance which was pretty sweet).

Thanks for the responses.

Most of them or all of them are built in space. Some can enter atmosphere and leave, like Forward Unto Dawn, but older ships like the Pillar of Autumn cannot leave atmosphere, so they have to stay in space.

Am I supposed to write something funny here?

As said before, most ships are built in space.

And Reach has ridiculously massive deposits of titanium.

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

They are usually built in orbit where it is easier to move the pieces around to settle them in with the superstructure.

Although not all of them are rated for atmosphere. I would like to know what devices or feat of engineering allows a ship with the armor the UNSC ships generally have to float in atmosphere.

I have always wondered that to.
