Maroon 5 is awesome. Deal with it.

Please excuse any poor grammar or spelling mistakes as I post this from a mobile

This about post embedding in posts. So instead of forcing a link to the said image or youtube video, why can't we imbed them in private forum posts? I of course understand the issue of not being able to do so in public forums, but why can't we have the option in private groups?

I wish we could. I really don't like linking to youtube or tinypic just to show a picture or something.

Actually, standard members don't have the power to imbed Pictures or Youtube videos in posts. I've witnessed multiple times where Employees embedded a post with [img] tags. Watch the following.

I'm an Anarchist. I don't need a government to be a good person, but I'm glad it's here because some of you clearly do.

A few years ago, they had [img] enabled in the file forum, and way back in dinosaur times, I think it was enabled for everybody, but I'm no dinosaur.

I simply know that the ability exists, but restrictions have been placed on it.

I think the webteam subscribes to the law of the guy whos name escapes me at the moment...
If [img] can be abused, [img] will be abused.
...so they just go with a solid no.

Still. I understand the restrictions in Pub forums, but it should be optional in Private groups. I would just like to hear why not?

I think it may have something to do with posting illegal things. Child -blam!- for example. It'd be hard to filter all that out in private groups. At least that's my guess.

The private groups may be barred on the same precedent. Private forums don't have ninjas who have been selected by Bungie. You might imagine what could be posted, considering the crossover between this website, and, say, Reddit or 4chan. It might be (legally) insightful for Bungie.net to operate as it does, in light of that.
