There have been haters of 343i ever since the company was formed.
As for me,it's like a dream come true! Bungie -blammed- up with
Halo:Reach and ODST. Halo will go through changes. Even about 30%
of 343i is made up of former Bungie employees. Stop hating,if you
are. If you prefer 343i you're all peaches and cream.

Post what you think of Halo 4 and 343i on this forum post.

If you're passionate about the thing you're talking about, I'll always lend an ear.

You may get flak for that. It's not true.

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

1. I'm fine with 343i. So far they've showed a lot of promise. But, we really can't know for sure until Halo 4 comes out.

2. I'm sorry, but this is the wrong forum for this. You should try The Flood Forum, instead.

This sentiment is funny. It's as if all of the Halo Universe before Reach, and all of Bungie's achievements in the franchise, such as Halo 2, just instantly vanish because of this one game. What's even more interesting is the willingness for people to condescend Bungie based on this one failing whilst 343i continuously get a free pass on many things that they screwed up with. Though I suppose you think that they haven't failed at all yet.

The ODST thing isn't very true in my opinion. When people say it was a mistake I can't help but think, "Becuase they did something they're bad."

That's the impression I get.

No.

They seem to be redesigning everything with little to no explanation why so they can create the illusion of Halo being their [original] game and even their idea.

Funny. CEA didn't make any improvements while ODST did.

Don't tell me that it wasn't supposed to. If a H2 Anniversary was based on H2 Vista, which was plagued by various problems such as not being able to crouch while running, that would have just been wrong leaving it unfixed.

Likewise, CEA didn't correct certain issues (i.e. awkward crouch, press X to enter vehicle). And it was supposedly based on PC but it didn't include any of the improvements (2 sensitivities, hold to enter vehicle).

Furthermore, 343 did make changes that changed gameplay, such as increasing the fov and filling mission tops with crap. The new graphics constantly get in the way and in some areas, I find myself walking off cliffs and falling to my death.

So the claim that CEA is the exact same as CE is wrong.

Look at CEA now. Do you see any of the trickers of CE messing around with it? Do you see the Mythic community enjoying it? Do you see people doing new things in it?

It's just extortion, that's what it is. To appeal to the casual half of the fan base. It doesn't have replay value. The achievements are linear and they're not worth it.

Though I have high anticipation for H4, I do not have the same opinion for 343's (or should I say M$'s) treatment of Bungie's Halo games (H2's not on the marketplace, H2 Vista has no support, H3's improvements disregarded in Reach and it's not being played as much).

The claim that they didn't want to include CE's mp to avoid dividing the fan base was a load of bs. Reach is the #1 supported Halo these days. It even got a demo on the marketplace. But it's not keeping me playing. Cr, challenges, those are meaningless to me. Replayability is what I want and it does not have that.

TLDR:

It's plain obvious that 343 can work better with Reach than they can with older Halo games.

Look at Anniversary's mp and firefight. Other than the Prisoner spawns and the bleedthrough glitch, there aren't many glitches.

I was very disappointed to find that CEA's mp, forge, firefight had the 10 second countdowns... and that they used an area that already had a firefight instead of using one of those 2 other areas on CE's 2nd level.

So I'm not really surprised that they're keeping Reach elements in H4.

But if they touch Bungie's older games, it will be a disaster.
