Ok, at first i agree with you, Co-Op is one of the coolest things a game could have, in fact while reading your long post my friend said, you need more co op games we can play...
i took that as a sign indeed, Co-op is one of the highpoints, but i disagree with you on the 16 players vs never ending swarms of opponents, i like to verse other players, and that is one of the good things about Halo, it didnt have bots, (remembering back to perfect dark, i never vs my friends in that, because we had bots) but halo is better with the vsing friends, if we had bots in Halo 2 the pattern might comp[lete itself, and my freinds and i may never vs each other again (always used to vs each other in Goldeneye).. and from Halo, i learnt that it is more fun vsing friends, even though nothing is on the line (like losing title of the best player) or the challenge isnt as hard.
before i continue, i'll just say, paragraph more, it looks more readable if it isnt just 1 or two great big blocks of text..... i see you added some at what might have been the correct times, (i dont know when to use paragraphs properly) but add them frequently, reading a big block of text can be very hard, as there are constant distractions, and if you have paragraphs, at least you know where you were.
with the jackal shield, i dont beleive it would function, as when you kill a jackal, why does it turn off.... is it because its a trigger, and once the beast dies he lets go, or is it because it doesnt work once he dioed for some reason, all i know is, if it's because of a trigger, wouldn't it get boring (or annoying) just holding the trigger down for 5 minutes while battling wiht a hard opponent.... also, what would happen if it got destroyed, would you just drop it, that wouldnt be fair on your opponent, there would have to be a bad effect that follows, or if not, the weapons wouldnt be fairly balanced...
