Ok... so who thinks that what Master Chief needs is a jetpack? (In multiplayer)

Not just any jetpack though.... a jetpack of MIND-BLOWING SPEED!!!

Yes. Once strapped into his 'pack of jet' the MC would be able to fly around the bigger multiplayer levels and deliver death from above with a series of pulversing bursts from the onboard mini-guns....

Regrettably, firing whilst hovering would leave one vulnerable to well aimed sniper/rocket fire. Yet this is no ordinary jet pack...nooo.....this jetpack can move at EXTRAORDINARY SPEED.

With a flick of a switch (that means press of a button to you and me) the MC (also you or me) will be able to flee the area with PANT WETTING RAPIDITY. Other players will only be able to mutter in amazement as they witness the AWESOME GEES of MC's pack of jet.

There is one more 'snag' though... (MC hates snags)

Anyway... the thing with the jetpack is that when it is moving in 'EYE-BLAZING VELOCITY mode' it becomes a little difficult to control. If not used correctly, this means many an MC will meet their demise as they get to know various buildings, cliff-faces around the level very intimately indeed.

So... anyway... there we go

Not played PDZ too much... kinda get bored quick.

There's very few games that have interested me that much over the years. I consider Halo and Halo 2 the best of em all.

Anyway.... I think it could work. I sincerely do.

Perfect Dark Zero doesn't fit in the 360. Deserves to be on the Megadrive. Worst game I have ever played, ever.
If H3 is anything like PDZ, I will go emo.

You know...

The BOWEL LOOSENING SWIFTNESS of his pack of jet might enable players to remain too much of a pain as they dodge away every time their shields drop.

This is why, in such a scenario, there should be a real chance of crashing if you abuse the function. Also, such speed should deplete the pack's energy.... requiring one to pause regularly like it or not.

Lol, I couldn't tell of this post was sarcastic or not, but here's my thoughts about jetpacks in first person shooters- whenever I see that the game has jetpacks, I move on. To me, that is one of the worst things that can be included in a game, especially one the caliber of Halo. I think that it shows a lack of creativity, or a lack of faith in the mechanics of the game as is. Halo is built on so many other things- giving it jetpacks would just cheapen the whole experience.

Well, a few of the elites has jetpacks, but they didnt seem to work that well. They didnt have turrets and were not that fast. I think the covenant discontinued them because they were a waiste of time. They were tired of elites getting shot out of the sky and falling 10000000 feet.

It wouldnt bother me if they were in the game....but they just do not seem that they would be good for anything (except getting splattered by banshees of course)

Please no jetpack...you honestly want all those people at High Impact Halo to make a bazillion threads about damn "jetpack grenade jumps"? What's worse; all their new jetpack trick discussion will just carry on over to bungie.net, particularly the Halo 3 forum, the news forum, and the underground.

Do you all remember what happened when Frankie gave us a hint pertaining to Hi Ben? A bunch of HIH members came over to the thread and plagued the whole damn thing. And then Ducain pushed them all out of the way and arrogantly typed "*Shakes hands with Bungie*" after his post. He also insulted hs own dumb members of his own dumb site.

I know it seems like my post went off on a tangent...perhaps it did....but you know, a jetpack could go a long way, and not in a way beneficial to the sanity of bungie.net. HIH is always looking for ways to completely ruin the Halo experience with their pointless "tricks," and putting a jetpack in will just fuel them. And all that fuel will be carried over to this forum and kill it.

A very... well, odd... yet true reason why the Jetpack deserves no life.

Hey.... the idea sucks....but there's still nothing wrong with the thought of MC using a jetpack that travels at an ALMOST INCOMPREHENSIBLE HASTE.

So....thread dismissed. 'Pack of Jet' jettisoned. Original ideas are on the way.

Now...excuse me while I get back to my design of a jetpack for some other game. One that travels with INCONCEIVABLE UBER-SWIFTNESS.

I'd rather not have Halo 3 turn into a cheap Tribes ripoff, thanks.

Don't worry...be happy.
