One does not choose a destiny, his destiny is bestowed, shaped and formed, from the soul.

There's (potentially)infinite groups. Find one that fits your interests. There's groups based on a wide variety of topics and interests, as well as off-topic groups for people who just want to discuss whatever they want away from the chaos that is The Flood.
What can you expect from this site? At the moment, as far as news from Bungie goes, not a whole lot I'm afraid. They're currently "dark", meaning they aren't releasing any information on their new project/game whatsoever until we're told otherwise. Some people think we may get some info around June or July, but as of right now they're almost as dark as they were when they turned the lights off in September.
As of right now, I'd suggest either hanging around the Community Forum and any private group of your choosing so you can become acquainted with the community and/or the members (being a more personal level than the community as a whole). If you dare, you can venture out into the Flood or, if you're feeling extra ballsy, the Halo Forums. But I wouldn't suggest starting off there. We're still trying to put ken back together.
I guess while I'm here I'll give you a quick run down of the basics so you don't need to make a thread when you're confused about something.
The things over there---> on the home page of the Community Forum are top forum topics. These are the top 10 topics that have been saved by the most people and are listed in order of last post.
Bungie Employees who post on here are (usually) denoted by having gold text and a custom title. One such employee is DeeJ, who is the acting liaison between the community and Bungie, as the Assistant Community Manager. The real Community Manager (username: urk) is taking a leave of absence from his usual position to, I can only guess, work on the other half of his job as a writer for Bungie.
The final employee you should probably know is Achronos. His title is "Bungie.net Overlord" and he can be described pretty much with this moniker. He pretty much runs the day-to-day operations on Bungie.net (in the public eye, anyway), however does report to a few other members of the Bungie.net Webteam. Achronos is also the author of the Forum Rules, which you should give a once-over.
I guess the final bit of info is that the people with orange (salmon-colored) text are Forum Ninjas, or the forum moderators. Having been on other forums I'm sure you're familiar with the concept. They also get custom avatars, so don't strain yourself searching for them in the avatar selection pages.
O Ken, were still trying to get him back to normal, he was gone for to long.
