In the BBC News about Halo 2, they were there and talked to Max Hoberman, the Halo 2 Multiplayer Design Lead. One thing Max Hoberman said was, "We have 16 boxes linked together here. No-one's noticed that yet." Also written in the news story was, 'He said at least 16 people would be able to play online. Offline, via a local area network, he said 16 Xboxes could be linked together, hinting at the possibility of games with 64 players.'
With this in mind, system link could be just as fun as Live. Just imagine having 32 players on each team, playing CTF on the new Blood Gulch.
Could a 64 player Halo 2 game be true?
