Chief vs the scarab? I find that hard to believe to roundhouse boot the scarab's figurative emotion out of the gaming zone.

Because Blue Waffle EVERYWHERE!!!

Bungie themselves were already abusing it.

How dare they ruin it for the rest of us.

Key

Hey, guys. Would you like to know what's very abusable? Custom. Posting. Think of all the nasty things people can say when they bypass the profanity filter!

And, because it's even possible, that means it's going to be HEAVILY abused and abused by almost ALL of the forumgoers who have access to this "custom posting" feature.

I think we should just get rid of it. It's clearly going to become a problem.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

Mythic custom avatars FTW!

This man, this man right here put it so eloquently that I actually cancelled my own 2000+ word long post.
/slow clap for respect

The person who said participating is important, not winning, obviously never won anything.

Because people would start drawing -blam!-es.

I mean, if Bungie in Halo 2 couldn't even resist making dicks when they had the custom emblem thing, which was later removed, I doubt we could.

It only appears to be a problem because it isn't allowed. If we had it, problems would shortly be over.

Think of any form of prohibition. People want it, but authority doesn't let us have it, so we find a way to get it. Alcohol and drugs are offered by a third party. And on this website, Coup is offered by a third party. Admittedly, some people have no idea what the -blam!- they're doing, but that's going to happen because of the sheer amount of customization available now. It's been online in various forms for several years, and being an admin for most of it, I can't think of more than 10 instances where we had to remove something inappropriate.
