Anyone else thinks it's ironic that last week there was a thread about publicly advertising you're groups with mottos and custom avatars; now we're talking about hiding them from the world?

Yes.
Parody or pure boredom?

I see no need to conceal anything about groups nor who inhabit them. It's not like anyone who stalks you can get into a private group without permission anyhow. Anyhow, it's more fun letting them know they CAN'T get into the group.

I remember when I used this space to put cool looking links to my chapters back in the day. I don't even know why I'm using it now. Why are you even reading this? You must be interested in me. Still reading?

What's the point of joining a group if I can't tell if other Mythic members joined too? Otherwise, why waste my presence elsewhere?

Dazarobbo made a thread akin to this. I don't hate it.

Need more options for more privacy, such as making the member list hidden and not showing up on peoples profiles.

Probably the only option I would consider including, unless you want a privacy option to make your group completely nonexistent to outside members or to prevent the group from being brought up via the searchbar.

Hi there! be sure to click that homepage link!

Perhaps a simple option that makes the group relatively hidden?

Or better yet, no bungie moderation! (Seriously though)

Key

You shouldn't be allowed to join a group unless your Reach K/D is 1.15 or greater.

In the big scheme of things, does it really matter? No it does not.

Hiding is the result of three things. One, being that you are afraid. Two, being that you are doing something wrong. The third is a result of doing something wrong and being afraid.

Are you truly that ignorant? While the concept is unnecessary, stating with confidence and certainty that people would only want it for what you have stated is completely ridiculous.

Hiding and privacy are NOT the same thing. And in this instance, Skibur has requested an advanced in privacy features. Not protection from a threat. He's not worried or scared, he simply wants to have certain things unavailable for people to see. Mind you, when utilizing the Internet, one can only expect a certain amount in terms of privacy, but that's the risk and condition you're willing to accept when you visit websites.

But I guess if wanting a little privacy means we're all hiding something, then I guess I should leave all my doors to my glass house open, as well as windows. Oh well, and I'll leave all my personal belongings and information out for people to view so they know I'm not scared, nor am I hiding anything illegal.

To Make Posts is Glorious

Some threads will get posts before others and it is the duty of the Leadership to ensure that posts are made that best suit the public welfare.

"heh"

Let us post pictures and swear and do all that kind of stuff in groups. Why not?

There should be more ways to make groups more exclusive and harder for people to join so the groups can be more L33T.
An Admin with the power to accept or deny anyone seems enough as is.

Yep. Because then group admins don't have to reject a dozen people's request just to get to the one that the admin invited. An invite-only option is more than ideal, in this case.

This is quite a good idea, if you ask me.

I'd like to type a long response on why I think there is a difference between being elitist and exclusive, but I honestly don't have the energy to do so right now.
