What would happen if you hypothetically speaking had the ticket one of seven and thrown away by mistake to the garbage and be forever lost?

That would suck. A lot. And unless you could find it, there'd be no proof that you ever had it. Unless maybe you had a picture/video of you holding it or something.

Could it be a tour of Bungie? Maybe a testing session for Destiny?
Would you really need a verification code for either of these things?
Well the code would be to confirm that you're the one that got the ticket. Then Bungie could contact you and arrange for you to go to Bellevue and either get a tour or playtest Destiny.

This is all hypothetical of course.
You would think that they would want to hold the tour / playtest on Bungie Day itself, but if you're supposed to input the code on Bungie Day, then there's no way for them to transport you to Bellevue in under a day.

Perhaps it will be something as simple and mundane as early access to a teaser trailer or information about the game that they can then pass on to the rest of Bungie.net, or they are given the first clue to a massive ARG.

I see what you're saying. But there still is a possibility that Bungie would fly in the contestants after Bungie day, and Bungie day would only serve as a confirmation date for the 7 entrants.

Or the test could be a download to a device like the PC or Xbox, and then they could play it that way.

Alternatively, they could use 7/7 as a confirmation date/reveal date and then transport the winners to Bungie at a later time (if that's what they are even doing).

I'm still skeptical. It takes a lot of work and resources to come up with a stable version of the game for players to test, and then put it on Xbox Live for download. Doing all that for just seven people doesn't make sense from an efficiency standpoint.

If it were something more like an early access to this "beta test", that would seem more reasonable of a prize, but since they haven't even announced their game yet, even if they announce their game at E3 2012, there's not enough time to build up the hype if they are planning on holding a beta test in July.

No, the prize for the One of Seven contest needs to be something more immediate. It makes no sense to have people hold onto tickets for a year only to say "Congratulations! Hold onto your tickets for another half year or so and we'll get you the real prize!"

So that's what the ticket is for?

I thought it was a some weird item in my bag o' swag.
Do you really have one?

this seems to indicate that the winners will be travelling somewhere ( to the studio most likely )
Not necessarily. That could just be a safety net to cover them from anything else.

You get to go to the bathroom at Bungie studios and then leave.

Now that would be an experience!

Example: "I don't own a computer so I had to buy one in order to enter the code and get my prize! Reimburse me!"

It does seem strange that Microsoft are in there, surely they would have removed them when they updated it to add Activision if it did date that far back. Unless it has something to do with Xbox Live, although that also seems strange considering Bungie's new IP is multi-platform and there is no mention of Sony.

Perhaps they had to be mentioned if the trailer is Xbox Live based?

See earlier comment.

I also doubt that they are far enough to have a public playable demo. Anything we hear about Destiny is going to be teaser trailers or universe / story information.

It doesn't have to be a public demo necessarily. They might to play the in house alpha, or whatever stage they are at. Then a public beta comes out later. Is E3 before or after bungie day?

Early trailer sounds plausible. I would love if it was an invitation to become a NPC in the game. Like a face scanned marine (or whatever NPCs will be in it) :-)

E3 is a month before Bungie Day.

One does not choose a destiny, his destiny is bestowed, shaped and formed, from the soul.

How do we get these said tickets? Is that what you get if you go on the thing on bungie day? Explain

Well in that case I'm not winning lol, even if we could get the tickets I still wouldn't win and if someone here has one, lock your doors cause someone's going to be looking for you. It's like the tickets to the wonka factory
