how do I overclock my hard drive?? its spinning at 5400 revetation pulls per minute but i want it to get higher than over 10000 revetation pulls per minute so that things can load quicker

I don't think you can "overclock" a hard drive.

and why not??
You just cant, it's not possibly.

why can u overclock a grafics card then?? if you unplug the computer the hard drive will stop spinning so logically if we increased the power goin into the drive it would spin faster no?
Because you just cant, and even if you could the disk couldn't handle it and would probably shatter within a year.

wut u mean i just cant??? if we can make it go faster by giving it more electrocitity then y wont it go faster if we give it even more?? i c no reason y it wudnt work

and disks are stong. i saw on mythbusters 1 lasted above sixyy thousands revitational pulls per minute
Because it's not as strong, it's not a typical compact disc. It will break, because the disk designed for 5400 RPM HDDs can only handle 5400 RPM.

What's the difference between the 300R and 400R?
400R has better cable management and air flow.

400R has better cable management and air flow.
And is also a bit larger, so there's more room for longer graphics cards.

No one has ever successfully attempted to overclock a hard drive. To get more performance, I'd suggest you go SSD.

and shampoo is for peeps to wash there hair daily and yet i dont because its a scam to make you buy more with hard drives its the same thing they make you buy a new one when you wnat more room or mak e it spin faster when in reality aand actualaity there all the same with a differen t pieeve of plastic on it and sold to different brands and companies which cahnge it a little bit so that the average cutsomer wont get susposions about it becz if they found out then they cud sue the peeps about the scam and then no 1 wuld buy the bigger hard drives any more and so thats why they put the recommendations on it u no?

u can over click a hard drive or usb. my friend sed he did it the other day and he downloaded a hole movie to proof it
Use better grammar next time, 2/10.

I hope both of you rot. Hitler is now crying right now, knowing he is no longer the worlds biggest Dick, cause both of you share that title. Please, do me the favor of not having to dirty my hands and kill yourselves.

General question for all of you guys that posted your build, anything you'd strongly suggest having or avoiding at all costs? Regrets, mistakes, that sort of thing.

Strongly suggest: Getting a gaming desktop
Avoid: Gaming laptop

Here's why....gaming laptops ARE NOT BAD at all....hell...I LOVE my Asus....but the price for performance is not good on a gaming laptop.

EDIT: Unless you're buying this laptop. That laptop is the only exception to what I just said.

Oh I was more referring to components and the like given this is pretty much a "how to build a gaming desktop" thread. I purchased what I had hoped would be a gaming laptop, this thing gets way to freaking hot.

Ah....should have bought that Lenovo I linked. If it's not too late...try to get a refund on what you what you have, and get that Lenovo instead. This way you can still have some cash in your pockets.

Well....what are the specs and what was the price of your laptop?
