Was your OS on the second drive? If so there's the actual problem.i have windows 7 on the first drive and a corrupted windows 8 on the second. i've been meaning to format the second one for a while now so that i can do a backup but for some reason windows won't let me format. it's like it needs that drive connected in order to boot correctly.
That's kind of awkward lol. When was the last time you tried formatting it?week or two ago. i think it just has to do with windows not wanting to format a drive which includes OS files on it, but i could be wrong. still no luck finding a solution online
Try manually deleting the OS and then formatting. It will give you a warning before you delete OS files.
