I suck at choosing furniture.

I just use a simple Ikea multipurpose desk.

Hopefully there will be a Steam sale by then.

There will be, for sure.
As it's the Start of Christmas season, so it will be the Winter Sale! :D

Definitely not getting Blops during Black Friday on Steam as I'll be getting it on Xbox. What titles should I get by then?

Who the hell do you think I am?

Even if there is a Steam Black Friday sale, I doubt it will be on as big of a scale as the summer and winter sales are.

I bought my AMD card after a hefty price drop.

And it's a reasonably high-end card.

Not sure about Black Friday, we don't have that here.

Looking to build a PC for my mother. It's an everyday computer, but she doesn't want it to be sluggish.

I'm looking to use MicroATX, as to keep the PC as compact as possible. No dedicated GPU.

The operating system will either be Windows 7, or go for a Hackintosh if she really wants to.

Can anybody give me a part list to start me off? I'm not quite sure what would be necessary for everyday use.

Budget?

And is it just for surfing the web?

There isn't really a budget per say.

It's mostly for checking email, writing documents, watching videos, etc. It's just for my parents. One is in HR, and the other is a chef. Their jobs don't required anything powerful.

At the same time, I'd like the computer to perform these tasks efficiently.

I can take care of those things. Thanks anyway.

Here you are.

It can also do some light gaming if you want to. Also, if you'd like an SSD I can throw that in there as well.

Wouldn't that be overkill?

Light gaming? I have the HD 7770, and I can max any game on the market with 45+ fps easy.

True, the 7770 isn't a slouch when it comes to gaming. From what I've heard, it can play BF3 at High at >60FPS.

Well, what were you expecting? You didn't even give me a budget.

And $650 for a build like that is great.

Here you go.

This will be great for exactly what they need. CPU with built in graphics. Micro motherboard and case.

It would come out to around $350, but with Windows 7, it's about $420.
